“A perfect peaceful stay in a historical convent in the middle of the countryside”

We loved everything! The secluded location, the historical convent, the cosy fireplace and the warm welcome from the owner, Juan. The whole convent is walled so we felt very safe letting our dogs roam free. We loved using the outside games room and the 12-person gas paella dish. It was too cold to use the pool in December but it looked lovely for the summer. There is also a little football pitch inside the courtyard for children to play in. It was cold in December but Juan had already lit the fireplace to warm up the house and turned all the heaters on. Thank you Juan for everything you did to make our stay comfortable!

Juan made arrangements to meet us at a petrol station as Google maps would've taken us on an off-road track which only a 4x4 would've got through.

This is such an amazing and special place to stay, made even better by Juan - our host. The place is completely spotless and gives an authentic taste of rural Spain.

Its hard to add to what others have already said about El Convento but it certainly exceeded all our expectations. It is a historic and tranquil house set in a stunning landscape and you feel relaxed from the moment you arrive. The facilities are great and the courtyard area is totally secure so we could bring our dog without any worries at all. But it is the host Juan who really makes it such a special experience. Juan genuinely cares about the comfort of his guests and his knowledge of the area ensures you can get the most out of your visit. We were sorry to leave and are already planning our return visit! Relaxing and wonderful and very highly recommended.

Everything. Really - this has been one of the best weeks of our lives. Walking through the olive groves, using the swimming pool, living within the converted convent and visiting local areas has been just wonderful. One thing stands out more than anything. And this is our host Juan. He is an exceptional person. Mornign deliveries of home grown grapes, figs and tomatoes - a welcome morning treat. His knowledge of the area, his kindness and gentle spirit really did make our trip perfect. I will never forget sitting near the convent unser the stars talking ands solving teh wolrd porblems. The stars and the wildlife are truly exception along with the near by castles to explore. The thing with Juan is his subtlty. He's there, always to help but so discreet and let us unwind and relax happily. We will go back to the convent as soon as we can. A truly beautiful place and experience.
