Overview
Set around peaceful cloisters and gardens, this restored 16th-century monastery offers bright, air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms. It is situated just a 10-minute walk from the Santísima Cruz Sanctuary. Nuestra Señora del Carmen is located in the heart of Caravaca de la Cruz, 600 metres from the town hall and tourist office. Free private parking is available on site. Nuestra Señora del Carmen is part of a small religious community, and guests are welcome to attend services in its chapel. The tour desk offers souvenirs and information about the surrounding area. The monastery has a drinks vending machine, and meals can be arranged on request. Various shops and restaurants can be found within a 5-minute walk.

The breakfast was good, lots of choice. The tour of the monastery via one of the monks was interesting and informative. Location couldn’t be better. A nice place to visit is Caravaca.

What a wonderful place to stay and will definitely be returning. The beds, bedding, towels and shower were good. The continental breakfast good. The location and parking perfect.

“Very interesting and comfortable”
This property really was exceptional. It is run by the friars of a monastery and has a very pleasant atmosphere. The rooms combine simplicity with great practicality, making very good use of space. The optional buffet breakfast provided by the friars is very good and excellent value.

This seems to be a former nuns convent, converted to a hotel. There is still a very catholic atmosphere. Our room was plain but of adequate size and functional..

“Excellent accomodation in a beautiful city.”
On arival the staff were very helpful in providing us with a map & details of the many sights to see in beautiful Caravaca de la Cruz. The monastery is very special with beautiful cloisters & gardens, contributing to a delightful stay. The breakfast was also excellent provided by the brothers, nothing was to much trouble.

Central location. Large free car park right in front of reception. Beautiful peaceful rose garden at back free to visit. Simple comfortable rooms. Spectacular buffet breakfast for very reasonable price. Friendly staff.

Basic but very clean accommodation. Staff are very helpful . Great location. Great continental breakfast......no hot food. Comfortable beds. A tip: shops and restaurants close around 2 pm for siesta. Shops reopen around 4/5pm, but restaurants dont reopen until between 8 and 9 pm, so plan accordingly .

This converted convent exudes calm! The accommodation is comfortable, quiet and very clean. The buffet breakfast was good value. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and some spoke good English.
