Overview
Located 5 minutes' drive from downtown Caraquet, the Complexe d'hébergement la Maison Touristique Dugas offers several types of accommodation. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. The inn is a historical house with authentic Acadian heritage. In the morning, guests can choose a hearty, hot breakfast from the breakfast menu. Self-catering guest rooms are also offered. These give you access to a communal lounge and a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. The suites are a more luxurious than the standard rooms and include a private bathroom, living room and kitchen. The cottages are more private and also offer a kitchen and a outdoor fireplace. The beach is less than 10 minutes' walk away.

I appreciated the clear email I received from the host explaining how to enter our suite. Although we didn't meet them in person, they left clear information about nearby restaurants and other services. Our suite was comfortable and it was very nice having some extra space after being on a long trip.

The setting was very cozy. Although it was small, we had everything we needed. It was a very quiet place, especially for being on the main road.

It’s very traditional Acadien house, kept to the original design. The interior is authentic and takes you back to times when it was built. Rooms very cosy and themed into colours. Outside was place for barbecue and we sat in the evening under very spacious gazebo and sit by the fire and played cards.

The small apartment was comfortable and well furnished. The bed was very comfortable as well. The outside seating area is gorgeous and it was great to do some reading there after a long day of driving. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. I wish we had time to spend a second night there.

“Wonderful and unique stay in Caraquet”
We loved the old charm of the property. It's such a fun walk through time, particularly upon hearing the story of how the home was passed down through the generations. There are several cozy nooks to hang out, and the owners were great to talk with during our stay.
