“A place that makes you want to remain!”
I booked for two nights and ended up staying a week. This hostel is the perfect place if you’re looking for a quiet spot to enjoy Caraiva. Right on the beachfront, with stunning views from the room window. The volunteers were AMAZING: Amanda, Tomas, Gabriel, and Bruno truly made my stay incredible. The owner, Michelle, is also very welcoming and full of great energy. Plus, there are lots of beautiful dogs and cats around!

A review of two parts - the location was great right on a really quiet part of the beach and 10-15 min walk to the town. We booked the suite which was comfortable, well furnished and had a nice little terrace. What let us down was that the staff always seemed pretty grumpy and we got told off by them for using the kitchen as it was just for those staying in the dorm. This was a big shame, as access to kitchen was the reason why I chose the place and whilst our room had basic utensils, a coffee machine and fridge, it had no way to make a meal or wash up. So if they changed that policy, which was silly as kitchen was mostly empty, and smiled a bit more it could be a really great place to stay!

“Pretty cool”
The hostel is pretty cool in a really beautiful beach. Has a big common area with hammocks and big chairs. There are some books for chilling moments, nice kitchen with everything you need. João, the staff, was really friendly and made me feel at home.

“Awesome”
Its the most beautiful hostel you'll ever go to. It's located right on the beach and has a lot of space to chill. Also it is very easy to meet other people. De kitchen is good. The people are very cool andd there are a lot of beautiful cats and dogs ❤️

“Beautiful staying”

“Superb location, Affordable beach hostel”
Location, location, location. Just what I wanted, close to the beach in a quiet place where I could relax. The hostel is 15 minutes away from Caraiva centre, there are also the Xando padaria for more affordable prices than Padoca (quality will be according to the price, still good though). All the reviews I read before choosing OCA mentioned the dogs. For me, the dogs made the place exceptional. There are about 8 of them, 6-7 being allowed to wonder around at random occasions. ❤❤❤ My favourite was Oia (possibly wrong spelling) the neighbours dog, we got on so well. Cookie is my 2nd favourite, she just comes and gives you love right when you need it. She's one of those tiny dogs! Amenities wise: 4 toilets, 4 indoors showers, 2 kitchens, one small (1 with the view to the sea), 2 outdoor showers (one looking at the sea, next to the bathtub), 3 swings (loved them!), 4 hammocks, lots of green space, 2 outdoor mattresses with pillows on them where you can rest or even sleep at night😁, 4 outdoor tables for eating and socialising, many sun bed chairs. I loved it. Oh, and the gazebo looking thing where people can dance if they play music. The energy of the place is amazing, hope it remains like this for a very long time. Very cosy and welcoming. You can hear the ocean waves from the room! ❤❤❤

The house is very cute, spacious, good ventilation and right in front of the beach. We had a great time and definitely we would comeback.
