Absolutely beautiful hotel, has everything you need. The food is fantastic in a gorgeous location. It’s very peaceful, there is a pool and a games room. The owners, a gentleman and his wife who is also the chef are absolutely amazing. My girlfriend and myself could not be happier to have stayed here’s we extended for two extra nights. Five stars !

The rooms are very bad, mouldy, cutains ripped and hanging off the wall, loose taps and electrical sockets, broken chairs outside, dining room ceiling falling down etc etc etc! The whole place should be knocked down.

Location in the woods. Birds and wind in the trees. Room was very clean with balcony. Honest if not the most stylish hotel - much larger than may be expected in a remote location. Bit of a 70s style but tbh the cost of a refurb prob isnt on the cards. Food a bit limited but dinner lamb shank super. Cold continental breakfast a little basic but ok overall.

“An oasis of peace and beauty.”

The location was idyllic. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The food was excellent, with locally sourced products and wines. The hosts were the definition of welcoming and convivial. After seven days on the road, this hotel was the peaceful, welcoming rest we needed. Highly recommend it to anyone travelling in the area.

Cheapish and handy for an overnight stop. The unreconstructed 1970’s vibe was quite nice in a way. Friendly staff.

Despite its address this hotel is not located in a street in a village. It is in a very rural setting several Km from Capvern, very difficult to locate after dark. No signposts to help locating it.

The location was very convenient

The room was spacious with a balcony facing onto woodlands. The weather prevented us from using the balcony but in fine weather it would have been a bonus to the room. The location was not just quiet, it was silent. The host was a warm, welcoming man who could not do enough to make our overnight stay an enjoyable one. The meal in the restuarant was top quality as was the local wine he served.
