We had an absolutely perfect two-night stay at Jardin d’Ébène Boutique Guesthouse. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our host, Roland, who was always available for a wonderful chat or to offer great local advice in the beautifully decorated and comfortable guest lounge. Our room was excellent, featuring a very spacious shower room. The guesthouse boasts a stunning garden patio with a great pool, making us feel completely safe and right at home. It is also within easy walking distance of the main restaurants on Kloof Street. We will definitely be back—thank you so much, Roland!

Very comfortable boutique hotel in a quiet neighbourhood but close to restaurants and bars. Super friendly host who gs e us lots of tips.

We arrived in the middle of the night which was not an issue which was a big relief to us. Staff was there to receive us in the kindest way possible. All the staff members were super friendly. Roland is the best host you can imagine with lots of advice on Capetown and the West Cape. Parking could be done for free on the street right in front of the property. The property is in a nice location in town on walking distance from Kloof street with lots of restaurants, and it all felt very safe, including to walk in the surrounding area.

The location is nice, near table mountain, but also walkable to Kloof street. The host is amazing, so helpful and able to give good advice on what to do. The room was lovely, the breakfast awesome and it was really nice to just chill out in the garden area.

This is truly a great place in Cape Town! The house is cosy and beautiful, situated in a safe neighborhood. The owner and his personnel are very sympathetic and helpful. The garden and (breakfast)terrace is surrounded by lots of green and provides privacy and a serene environment, with a small but well maintained and nice pool. Last but not least: the breakfast is just fantastic! An absolutely great place to stay in Cape Town, with a very good price-quality ratio. Recommended!

Fabulous and super friendly host who gave us excellent tips, even though I knew the city well from living there a few years ago. Roland was honestly one of the nicest guesthouse hosts I’ve ever met. Also the guesthouse is so well situated. Beautiful breakfast every morning.

We loved everything! Roland was the best host you could possibly imagine, he gave us every morning his tips to visit Cape Town in the best way and was so considerate. The place itself is heaven : clean, very well situated, decorated with taste, and in a very safe location. There was even someone to watch our car during the night. All in all we had a great stay, and would definitely come back again!

Very conveniently situated, and so comfortable that it felt like returning home after a day's work. Everyone so friendly that it was a pity to have to leave. The breakfasts are fantastic, setting one up for the rest of the day, no need to eat lunch after such a feast!

Lovely guest house near to kloof street many good restaurants and bars nearby. Supermarket in walking distance. Beautiful garden where we had breakfast each morning which was also very good. Roland the owner is a great host and had many suggestions for places to eat and tips in general for Cape Town that were extremely helpful. All staff were friendly and helpful and we really felt at home here. Would definitely stay again if we return to Cape Town.

“Great location, accommodation & host !”

Roland was a superb host with great suggestions about itineraries and restaurants. Our room (Zebra) was spacious with a big , comfortable bed and super bathroom. The gardens were delightful and a special place to enjoy the excellent breakfast , served at your table. Felt very safe and parking is monitored by a night guard. Easy Uber access to the Waterfront ; a walk to Company’s gardens etc. restaurants nearby and a great laundry too! Enjoyed the free walking tour very much. Highlight was a drive around the Cape and a special stop at Boulders Beach with the penguins. You absolutely don’t need a car in Cape Town though ! …have it delivered when you need to leave.
