Overview
Surrounded by Signal Hill’s Bluegum trees, this guest house offers panoramic views of Table Bay, Robben Island and the 2010 World Cup Soccer Stadium. There is a salt-water pool with a sun deck. Decorated with African artifacts and wooden furniture, Bluegum Hill Guesthouse & Apartments - Loadshedding-Lights & WIFI always on offers accommodations with air conditioning and a tea/coffee maker. Each room has a private bathroom with a hairdryer. A generous al-fresco breakfast is served daily on Bluegum Hill’s terrace, and always includes complimentary refreshments. The Honesty Bar serves cooled drinks, juices and snacks. The property is situated 2km from the V&A Waterfront, on the topmost slopes of Signal Hill allowing for fantastic views, this also means there are stairs leading down to the guesthouse from the street, the stairs are wide and have a handrail, and are suitable for any reasonably fit person. Free private car parking and secure on street parking is available. At an additional cost, an airport shuttle is available to Cape Town International Airport, 20 km away.

“I have traveled all over the world, but I have never encountered such genuine care and kindness.”
I stayed at this wonderful hotel for 6 days, and it was an unforgettable experience. The room offered stunning views of both sunrises and sunsets — I couldn't stop taking photos! The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and gave me the perfect start to each day. The location is very convenient, but what truly makes this place special is the host, Assia. I arrived on a Saturday when all the currency exchanges in the city were closed. Seeing my situation, Assia went above and beyond: she ordered pizza for me and even lent me money until Monday so I could eat in the city. I have traveled all over the world, but I have never encountered such genuine care and kindness. Assia, thank you for making me feel so welcome! I can’t recommend this place enough.

“Spacious apartment with amazing views”
Aissa is a wonderful and welcoming host and she helped make our stay an enjoyable one. Great location with a fantastic view in a quiet a safe area. The apartment was so spacious and had everything with needed including a well stocked kitchen, washing machine, secure off street parking Netflix account access was an added bonus. We loved the honesty system with the communal bar too!

“Excellent stay at Bluegum!”
The location of the property is perfect. It is so easy to catch an Uber around the city whenever you want to venture out, and the views from the guesthouse are great. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, Aissa was very attentive to any requests and queries. The breakfast was fab every morning with the choice of cereals, a bowl of fruit and yoghurt, different pastries and a variety of hot breakfast options too. We would definitely come back to stay here again. Ps, if you have the opportunity to book a private day tour with Casper I would highly recommend! We really enjoyed our day with him and it’s a great way to see the area.
