The room was clean and when we asked for something the lady was polite and give us what we needed although her English was not so good.

This accomodation is exceptional! The place, the vibe, the food and the staff, especially Viviana, all exceeded our expectations. We loved every moment there!

I love everything in B&B Alloro, a lovely quiet place, perfect for a family. They have rabbits, donkeys,a pony and a few ducks. My son loved that place ,he liked to play with the owner's dog Pipa, my daughter liked their cats. We spent two lovely days there. The breakfast was simple but delicious in Italian style. A swimming pool was great after a busy day in Lucca. I really recommend that lovely place.

“Tuscany Introduction”

Our trip down to Tuscany waS filled with memorable memories, and this place was one of them. B&B Alloro proved to be the right choice and location, being in the countryside and the warm welcome from the host was a beautiful touch. She provided us with places to eat and visit that weren't far away. The room was clean and tidy, and the pool area was perfect. They even had a fridge with beer and water to help yourself on an honour system. The morning breakfast was in an alfresco area over looking the pool, which was already set out. Our host, being ever so efficient, provided our morning breakfast and great coffee. There were plenty of tables and chairs and lounges to relax outside of the accommodation and around the pool. Montecalo was a little village 8 mins away, so it proved a great choice provided by our host.' Fabulous restaurants to dine outside or just walk the ancient town. Good pick !!

“Beautiful Tuscany”

Incredible location and view over Lucca and nearby mountains. Staff could not have been more welcoming, the breakfast was one of the best you could hope for.

Amazing views in a secluded setting. Friendly host and fantastic facilities. Comfortable and cosy with lots to see in the area. Great breakfast!

Everything is great, room breakfast, swimming pool, new airco. We love this place!

“Do not stay here”

We arrived at B&B Alloro and were shown to a room that wasn't what was described online or what we had booked. It appeared to be a family room in the basement with a sliding door without a secure lock directly onto the main lobby and reception desk. The doors had been left open all day and the room was full of mosquitoes. The "private entrance and garden view" were out to a wasteland at the back of the property where old air conditioning units had been dumped. The room was also damp and dark. We asked to be moved elsewhere but the room that we had booked would not be available until the following day. We complained at the time to the manager who didn't see the problem in having a room without a securely locking door. In the end, we decided we couldn't stay in an insecure room and found alternative accommodation for the duration of our stay. I have complained formally via booking.com but the manager has rejected the complaint.

Lovely setting and environment

I absolutely loved this place. The rooms were big and spacious. That lady that owns it comes and makes your bed everyday and makes breakfast. It was the most beautiful property. It feels like a big family. I would recommend this highly. She is so attentive and kind. We wish we stayed longer.
