“Clean and simple rooms in a great location.”

Staff were really friendly and helpful, saying hello anytime you walked past the office and were always happy to help with any of my enquiries. Rooms were clean and tidy, and I saw rooms and bathrooms regularly being cleaned during stay. Fantastic location, able to walk anywhere in the city and easy to get to from the train station.

The room is spacious even with 3 triple-decker beds in it. The hostel is less than 10-minute walk from the train station and around 15 minutes from the beach area.

Nice hostel, helpful staff, clean rooms, central location, outdoor gate which you need a code to access in the evenings which made the place feel very safe. Bathrooms are external and shared amongst the entire floor although there is 2 toilets and multiple showers so this was not an issue.

A nice hostel in perfect location, the bed is comfortable and kitchen well equipped, also the personal are kind and helpful. If I have the chance to back to Cannes I will chose to stay in Banana's Camp

“A very bare bones hostel.”

The beds were three stories and very wobbly. There was no other furniture like a chair or table or even a trashcan in the room. The automatic light sensor in the bathroom will not detect you while you shower in a cubicle so If you shower at nighttime you might end up showering in the dark.

The staff were very friendly and responded quickly to requests. The location is great, and the property itself — a charming historic house — adds to the experience.

“THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE.”

I advise to stay away from this place. I have never had such a nightmare before. I had a bed in a 8-female room for a week. At the middle of my stay hostel manager called me and asked if I would be so kind to change a room to a 2-person room for the last night of my stay and I would be on my own there since he has a big group coming and all of them wanted to be in the same room. When I changed a room, it turned out, that the room had a 2-story bed and someone else’s stuff was in the 1st story. I asked property manager what’s going on and he said that they are fully booked and he cannot do anything. So basically, he lied to me so I change a room. When I asked why he didn’t have conscience to at least put me on the 1st story bed he said that woman was quite aggressive and he couldn’t do anything and he put her in the lower bed. The worst thing happened at 4:40 am when I was sleeping and all over the sudden a woman I’ve never seen before came back into the room, made a lot of noises, turned on the light, opened a balcony, set there, didn’t close the door and started smoking and watching the videos. I had to say “hey” 10 times and she would ignore me. So I had to climb down to say that she woke me up looking at her and she kept saying nasty things in French (herself coming from Brazil). She was saying that she has the right to smoke on the balcony, that I should go to Airbnb, that I should turn off the lights myself, and etc etc. When I called hostel manager asking to take her out of my room since she is crazy and disturbing me and I don’t feel safe in the same room with her, he said he cannot do anything since they are fully booked and he doesn’t have any other place to put her. This is not my problem and this is his job to make sure all guests are obeying the rules and do not disturb each other. So I had to do HIS job and I called the police and police came and kicked that insane woman out of my room with all her stuff at 5 am.

I got the all girls room and it was the first time I did this in a hostel. the room is GREAT specially the AC considering the 40C heat outside. The bed is super comfortable (i got the one on the floor in the 3 bed bunkbed). Is super clean, the rooms and the bathrooms too. the kitchen in super complete with a lot of things you need to prep or heat your meals. Is very safe! As a woman traveling alone I didn't felt unsafe in my room. The location is PERFECT!! 5min walking from the train station and 10 minutes from basically any where in the city - this for me was a must, I walked literally to any place I needed to. The staff is super cute, they help you with anything you need and are super gentle.

Spacious rooms, clean bathrooms and great location

The place is in a perfect location and close proximity to all p[places of interest at Cannes. Close to the Palais of the festival, the train station, and the beach.
