Hotel Edelweiss is located 50 meters from the Candanchú chairlift, and only 2 km. from the Astun station, in the Aragonese Pyrenees. The location and hotel room view was spectacular. Rooms were simple but clean and nice, with comfortable beds. Buffet breakfast was great, dining room has great views.

We were very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. The building is old,, the curtains had holes, and the floor was extremely uneven. The extra pull-out bed was impossible to sleep on. During the summer, when we opened the windows, cigarette smoke came in from the outdoor terrace below, no conditioning in room. Breakfast was another huge disappointment: the offered omelette had to be heated by ourselves in the microwave, the selection was extremely poor, and the bread was dry and stale. Overall, this was a very big letdown and far below expectations and reviews in booking do not match reality. We leave on second day,there was impossible to stay another night.

“Pleasant stop over for one night”
Central to the mountains, and a pleasant stop over for one night. The ski slopes all closed, not open to hiking or other activities, so nothing to do in the town except eat and drink, or hike on the Camino trail for a short bit.

“Expensive for what it is”
Nice staff and very nice views from the rooms and the restaurant deck. Rooms facing south have a very nice sun room/balcony to chill. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and there are plenty of blankets and comforters available. The room feels spacious and are very bright. The breakfast buffet is very varied (hi 5 to the gluten/lactose free options). Savory options are good, as so is fruit. Yet, patries could indeed be more fresh. There is s bus stop right in front of the hotel and plenty of paths to hike nearby.

“Excellent for a stop in the mountains.”
Charming reception and bar. Good size rooms with great balcony views of the mountains. Very attentive and friendly staff. Dinner catered well for a party of four vegetarians although choice was narrow and the menu overall was quite meat heavy. Otherwise - all excellent.
