Offering 2 outdoor pools, 4 hot tubs and a spa and wellness centre, Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort All Inclusive Adults Only is located on a secluded stretch of white-sand beach in Cancun. “Hotel kicked the BRIDE & GROOM out during their Honeymoon”
I was there for a buddy's wedding. Your staff literally booted the BRIDE & GROOM off of the property over 1 week before their HONEYMOON was supposed to end. The reason they gave is that the night before (which happened to be his wedding night) "he head-butted an underage guest" whose mother would like to press charges against him. He was further told "the interaction was captured on video." He requested to see the video and they denied him. The supposed incident took place shortly after 10pm on Sunday, March 10, 2024. We know the exact time because his wedding was set to end at 10pm, and over 30 guests walked from the wedding to the bar next to the main lobby to continue the party after the music concluded. There were many young people staying there for Spring Break, and many of those kids were in the same bar after we were. At no point was the Groom ever alone in that bar, and over 20 of the wedding guests were standing next to him at the bar having more drinks because it was immediately after the wedding and we were all still having fun. Your staff refused to speak to any other guests about this incident (myself included) before unilaterally kicking them out. Your staff gave them until noon to check out on Monday the 11th. I know this because I HAD BREAKFAST with the Groom myself that morning, and said goodbye to him when my airport shuttle was scheduled at 11am for a 3pm flight, only to again meet the Bride and Groom inside the Cancun International Airport at 1pm that same day. Your staff utterly failed to research this issue before cutting short their honeymoon, offered zero refund for over 1 week's worth of additional stay, refused to show the video (which we doubt even existed), and refused to interview any other guests who were present and can vouch that no fight ever occurred. Even stranger, they never bothered to contact the authorities or "press charges" when he was so clearly identified on the video!?

“Nice but could be better…”
Lovely staff. Food at Maris, Oceana, Portofino and Himitsu was great! Definitely would go every day to Oceana and Maris for breakfast (photos). Spa has great clean facilities, well equipped gym. Room was clean and toiletries provided. The app they have is great, lots of information on it and also other resorts! The rooms standard makes you feel special and well looked after by housekeeping.

Some of the staff was rude the guys that drove the cart was really nice the beach attendant was rude. They just walk in your room without knocking. It’s only one smoke spot u can’t even smoke cigarettes on the beach . I picked a adult only resort and they have more rules than the regular resorts

Nice and clean resort, good drinks and food, personnel is so attentive and friendly, beach is clean and lots of space. Late check-out option. Would definitely recommend this hotel and also Secrets group!

“Beautiful hotel right on the beach.”
The location is fantastic, the enormous pool area leads directly to the beach, so you can wander between both. There are great bar facilities at both areas, a lovely beach bar with swings, and a swim up bar at the pool! The breakfast had an amazing selection, everything from cooked breakfast, omelette station, pastries, continental breakfast, fruit, everything. The room was great, fantastic bed and bathroom.
