From the moment we arrived our host Human made us feel so welcome. His English was excellent. Our room was lovely with comfy loungers on the deck overlooking a small stream and surrounded by lush vegetation. We were given fresh fruit and other homemade snacks and drinks throughout our 2 night stay. Human cooked us a delicious feast for dinner on our first night then took us by bicycle into the local village to sample an avocado smoothie - sublime! Our wonderful tour of Cai Reng floating market started with a sunrise cycle to the boat. Human was attentive, informative and interesting to talk to. He even helped us with our very poor pronunciation of Vietnamese words. We learnt how rice noodles were made - even had a go ourselves - and we visited Can Tho city and ate Pho with Human at his favourite restaurant. What a very special experience - one we shall never forget. Stay at Mekong Farmstay if you want to make some very special memories. Thank you Human for your amazing hospitality.

The best accommodation and experience we had in Vietnam. I can’t even fully describe how much we enjoyed our stay, and we only wish we could have stayed longer than one night. The owner is incredibly kind and friendly – in the morning he took us on a private boat trip to the floating markets and shared lots of interesting insights. We also had dinner at the property, cooked by his mother, and the food was absolutely amazing. Highly recommended – I’d love to come back one day.

We loved our stay at Mekong Delta Farm Stay! Human lead an unbeatable floating market tour and showed us incredible sights we would never have uncovered on our own, we highly recommend his tour. Additionally, Human went above and beyond to help us when we had a personal emergency. The accommodation was clean and tidy, and a great walking and cycling location. The outdoor shower was definitely a highlight. We would choose to stay here again.

“EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!”

Our stay at Mekong Farmstay was absolutely incredible, easily one of the highlights of our trip in Vietnam. Human, the host, was genuinely one of the kindest and most welcoming people we’ve met. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel at home. He greeted us with a fresh passion fruit juice, helped us find vegan food nearby for lunch, and even introduced us to what might be the best avocado smoothie in town! In the evening, his mum prepared a delicious hotpot, the food was amazing and felt very authentic. You can really feel the care and love put into everything here. The farmstay itself is exactly what we were looking for: peaceful, clean, and surrounded by nature. It’s the perfect place to relax and disconnect. We also did the floating market tour with Human, and it was hands down one of the BEST experiences of our 3 weeks in Vietnam. The food during the tour was once again fantastic, and he made sure to accommodate our dietary requirements perfectly. If you stay here, this tour is an absolute MUST!!! To top it all off, Human helped us organise our bus to the next destination, making everything smooth and stress-free. He is truly passionate about what he does and goes above and beyond to make sure his guests have a memorable stay. 5 stars ⭐ Highly recommended! Thank you so much, Human 🫶🏽

The owner was very helpful and friendly, his mother cooked a superb evening meal, she's an excellent cook. The floating market was an experience, but I should have got up earlier, aim to leave at 4am, I was 2 hours too late, but it was still worth it.

Mekong Farmstay in Can Tho was probably the best place my partner and I stayed during our month-long trip. The host, Human, is incredibly kind and helpful, and truly went out of his way to show us everything Can Tho has to offer. We got to try amazing Vietnamese food, both at the farmstay and around the city during our excursions. He also taught us a lot about Vietnamese culture and history, which made the stay even more special.

Human is a wonderful, considerate host, speaks fairly good English and is knowledgeable about the area. He took us to the floating markets, local market and island. He took photos of us doing all these activities and shared them with us and recommended that we visit a small cocoa farm nearby which was fascinating. We felt very safe at his farm stay - he even made sure that the grab picking us up when we left matched the vehicle registration on the app. We really appreciated the fresh fruit and drinks he prepared for us on occasion. If you are looking for a unique, rustic experience amongst the Mekong delta residents going about their daily lives, then this is the place to stay.

The property was beautifully set out. We really liked the water coconut leafs that clad the room and loved the open air bathroom. Human was a great source of information and a very nice host. He organised two tours for us - both were great. The noodle soup we had at the floating market was one of the best we had anywhere in Vietnamese, and the market was fascinating. The food at the home stay was very good too.

I loved staying somewhere more rustic and close to nature. Human was fabulous. So kind and super helpful with my transport and rescuing me on his scooter! The meal his mother cooked was super! He even left mozzie cream for me to use.

“The greatest host!”

This place went far beyond our expectations. We arrived late due to our flight being delayed but yet we're still welcomed by Human and the most delicious dinner after a long day's travel. The place itself is in a wonderful setting away from town. Rooms very clean and spacious and the bathroom with it's no roof style was such a feature of this wonderful place. The next morning Human accompanied us first by bikes, then by private boat to the floating markets of Can Tho. He really looked after us, providing us with a truly unforgettable experience. He's just a wonderful wonderful person. Always laughing, smiling and taking a real care of his guests! Can't recommend highly enough. Thanks Human, you're the best!

“Spectacular experience!!!”

Amazing experience. Human (owner) is super nice person, offers dinner with his family and many other activities. We biked together to the floating market and he was our guide (rent private boat for us, we had great breakfast on the boat, visited local noodle factory and many many more amazing places). So this was truly and spectacular experience!!!

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Mekong Farmstay Can Tho. We'd decided at short notice to book a 2-night stay in the Mekong Delta for a little rural experience in the south after staying in Saigon, but were apprehensive we wouldn't have that good of an experience without having had the chance to research the area more...But it turned out we'd picked the perfect spot for a first impression of the region! The accommodation itself is nice, with a cozy, country vibe. The room was what you can expect from the area: simple but sufficient, with plenty of fresh air circulating (and a mosquito net around the bed). There was plenty of greenery around the room, and I actually came to really like the open air attached bathroom (though can appreciate it might not be for everyone). What really made it an outstanding experience was Human himself and his lovely family! We'd booked a river tour of the floating market etc. in advance, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover Human would be our guide for that, too. His English is great, and he is (for me) the perfect mix I want from a host: enthusiastic about his own culture and curious to understand others, but also chilled enough to give you as much space as you need. As always, I had many questions about local life, ecology and the cuisine, but Human is very knowledgeable and actually seemed to enjoy answering these, so we talked and shared a lot during our short stay. Human's mother does most of the cooking; she's lovely, and everything she makes is delicious, so we always felt completely spoilt. I also really appreciated their patience in letting me request a few particularly local 'off-menu' preparations for a real taste of the region! Beyond this, Human and his family did everything they could to make us feel really welcome and part of their lives. One of the happy memories that's stayed with me is of Human and his charming brother taking us out for juice on our first night...

The hospitality was amazing from start to finish, Human went out of his way to welcome guests and his mum cooked the delicious meals. The sunrise tour to the floating markets is a brilliant experience. A great place to stay.

Human is an incredible host. His mother is an exceptional cook and his brother Long is so nice and told me of lovely museums to go to. The farmstay is a beautiful location, very clean comfortable with plenty of amenities. Can tho has amazing tours and Human is the best tour guide. Ive never recieved hospitality like this, I'm so very happy!
