Staying in Mulino di Campese was an unforgettable experience. The beauty of the property is extraordinary — the historic old mill atmosphere, the sound of the river, the stone buildings, and the surrounding greenery create a truly picturesque and peaceful setting. The views from outside and even directly from the room were absolutely stunning, especially in the morning and at sunset. What makes this place even more special is the perfect combination of nature and convenience. You feel completely immersed in the countryside, yet Bassano del Grappa is reachable with a beautiful walk through nature along the river. The area around the hotel is charming, with several excellent local places to eat nearby. The breakfast was exceptional — fresh, generous, with local meats, cheese and tasty omlet. The fruits and vegetables from the garden were delicious! high quality. Every morning started beautifully thanks to the atmosphere and the wonderful food. Above all, the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Their kindness made us feel at home from the first moment.

“A veritable gem of a place”

In summary: Perfect! The place is beautifully restored, and surrounded by lush greenery, with a stream passing right beside the rooms. The room was very comfortable, light and airy, and designed in a modern take on the traditional, in keeping with the history of the Mill. Riccardo and his family were friendly without being intrusive, and very attentive to detail. For example, Riccardo noticed I removed the cream from a croissant at breakfast (I prefer plain croissants). The subsequent days, he made sure there was a fresh plain croissant for me. The location was excellent, as it was close to the town and other activities we decided to do. Parking was available on site, and since only 2 rooms are available, it was quiet and serene. Also, a lovely walk along the stream was an excellent way to start or end the days. We don't usually go back to the same place when we travel, but this is one we will definitely return to!

“Fresh and clean b&b, but a bit too expensive”

The room is nice, fresh and stylish. The AC works very well, which is a must in the hot summer months. The bathroom has a great shower. The little kitchen downstairs is a bonus, which gives you the opportunity to cook yourself instead of having to eat out. Though they were still constructing the restaurant on the property, we weren’t bothered by any noise. The owner is very friendly and helps out with questions and tips for the surroundings.

Breakfast was great and we loved the individual attention. We were on a bike tour and storage was safe and secure.

“River trails, stunning room, wonderful host and lush mountain view”

What a find. Amazing host, beautiful rooms - a mix of wonderfully modern with a sustainable and beautiful nod to the past. The air-conditioning was super efficient too. That was our key worry when booking, as the temperatures in July are daft. Yes it's not in the centre of campese, but the entrance to the riverside trail to Bassano is dead opposite. The local pizzeria is a 5 minute walk away and is excellent. We'll be coming back & booking bikes to travel about.Thank you Riccardo 👍🏼
