Situated on the cool climate of Cameron Highlands, The Smokehouse features English cottage-style accommodation with views of its award-winning gardens or the golf course. It has a restaurant and bar. Located between the towns of Tanah Rata and Brinchang, The Smokehouse Hotel & Restaurant Cameron Highlands is a 3.5-hour drive from both Kuala Lumpur and Penang. Each suite features a blend of contemporary and traditional furnishings and comes with a spacious seating area. It comes with a canopy or a four-poster bed and tea/coffee making facilities. Private bathrooms come with toiletries and a hairdryer. Guests can enjoy traditional English breakfast at the conservatory or the hotel’s signature Beef Wellington dish in the dining room. Afternoon tea and scones are served at the garden terrace. Smokehouse provides room service and free Wi-Fi in the entire hotel. Those who drive get to enjoy free parking on the hotel premises.

I recently stayed at this hotel for 1 nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the nice city view from my window. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions. Check-in and check-out were smooth and quick, which made the stay more convenient. The location is great—close to restaurants, shops, and public transport. Breakfast was decent with a variety of options, though I think it could be improved with more local dishes. “To be avoided.”
The hotel is located between 2 roads. So noisy that impossible to sleep. I am wondering if any renovation has been done since 1937.

It’s a vintage looking property from inside. We stayed 2 nights and it was good . The staff is very friendly and curious. The rooms and interiors give a good old English home feeling. Have a beautiful garden.
