Jay was so kind and had great recommendations for where to eat and what to do which was super appreciated!!

This is such a wonderful guesthouse. You're made to feel so welcome and at home. The room is a good size, with a large bathroom, ample storage space and a good fan. It's colder up in the Highlands, so Aircon isn't needed. It's only a 10 minute walk into town but it's so quiet here at night, you'll get a wonderful sleep. You also have access to a lounge area and kitchen facilities. This is great if you buy yourself some breakfast as you can store it in the kitchen and the fridge. There's water to purchase too, which is super useful. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Gerard’s Roomstay! The room itself was clean and comfortable and great value for money, we slept well and were well rested for our hikes! The stand out is the hosts, such a friendly and lovely family who took the time to help us with info about the area and recommendations. Would highly recommend staying here for a peaceful and relaxing stay, we really felt at home 😊

Spotlessly clean and smelt lovely and clean too, lovely communal area for guests to enjoy, max 6 in the unit. Was only us and one other couple (they were in the en-suite room) so we had the bathroom to ourselves, and couldn’t hear a thing from them. Jay was really helpful, smooth booking in and handy tips for the area and onward travel. Highly recommend

The hostess of Gerard’s was very welcoming and always there for us if we had any questions. The place is clean and quiet, a great place to come back to after a long hike. Gerard’s is just a 10 to 15 minute walk from the town centre which makes it an amazing and quiet place to stay but still being close to everything else. We would definitely recommend staying at Gerard’s!

“A quiet comfortable place to stay in pretty surroundings”

Great find just 10 minutes walk from town. Our room was comfortable and we had our own en-suite bathroom. There was a shared lounge and kitchen with lots of lovely Marsala chai tea, among other teas! The owners Jay and Zoe are great with lots of useful information, and Jay very kindly gave us a lift to the bus station on our last day. Highly recommend!
