Nice hotel well placed near the ocean. Room was nice and comfortable Possible to sleep with waves sound and fireplace was a good surprise.

What a gem! Didn’t expect to find such a fantastic place late at night after a long drive. The staff were super helpful and friendly (reception was still open at 10pm when other places were closed.) The room was massive and had a fireplace. I assume it has been recently renovated - the quality was very high standard and unlike other establishments that choose the cheapest and quickest options, they obviously invested thought, time and money to do it up properly. The bed and linen were as good as or far superior to some 5 star places we’ve stayed in - the pillows were so luxurious I’m going to source them for home! We fell asleep to the sound of waves on Moonstone Beach and in the morning we had a quick dip in the sea and a warm up in the hotel’s hot tube/spa. The cake and cookies at breakfast were delicious and homemade, not commercial rubbish that so many places give you. The gardens are beautiful and expertly maintained. All the staff were fantastic and very well trained as you might expect in a top notch hotel in London. Cambria is a darling town and much better than the overrated Carmel. All in all, a very memorable stay, even though we arrived late, and I’ve already recommended this place to friends. We really appreciated the location, the quality of accommodation, the leadership team/owners and the staff. Thank you for a fantastic stay and I’d make it a must stop next time we are in the area.

“Super stop off point for a road trip”

Great location and convenient for Hearst Castle and the Elephant Seals at San Simeon. The hotel is located literally across the road from Moonstone beach and boardwalk. Our room was nice and cosy, complete with a gas fire (not needed during our stay) and all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. We had a great view over the beach from our room to watch the incredible sunset and marvel at the surfers.

The staff at check-in was unfriendly, we arrived at 17:45 and there was no one at the reception we had to wait for 20 minutes, before the receptionist arrived. When he did, he did not bother to apologize buy rather informed us that they are usually closed for half an hour to have their break. Furthermore, they don't have any restroom available for guests wait for check in.

Fabulous view, clean, comfortable, spacious. The bed was especially comfortable and bed linen and pillows were bliss! Great to be able to order breakfast from a local source and have it delivered; also to be able to cross the road to the beach or to walk along the boardwalk.

There was no breakfast, but the facilities around had so we used them. The wine tasting is very popular there in that area and they use their space for this purpose. We were not interested, but probably other people are.
