The location is magic. Right at the top of the beautiful stairs with picture views. The rooms are authentic and breakfast was just amazing. Not only was there a huge selection, it was served on the prettiest balcony overlooking Caltagirone - postcard worthy.

The location is incredible overlooking the famous steps decorated with ceramic. The host is very helpful and he prepared us a great breakfast, at the top floor where we could admire the view on the city. Highly Recommended!

​If you are only looking for a place to sleep, this is not it. But if you are looking for a truly homely atmosphere that will wrap you in warmth and make you feel special, then this is the place for you! The location is absolutely perfect, in the very center, literally right next to the main attraction, the famous stairs. Our room offered a balcony with a view extending directly over the stairs, which are the main attraction of the city, giving us the feeling of having a private box seat to observe all the city life – coffee in such a spot is pure magic! The heart of this place is the Host. Although he is the smallest person we have ever met, he has a huge heart. He created a warm, homey atmosphere that made us feel relaxed and comfortable, like home, not a hotel. An additional highlight was the exceptionally tasty and varied breakfast served on a balcony with a city view, which was the perfect start to the day. Finally, an important travel tip: please, do not fully trust Google Maps! The application incorrectly marks the exact location of the accommodation. To find it, you must turn directly off the stairs – this is the only way. We couldn't find any downsides; we only regret that we couldn't stay longer!

Caltagirone is a gem and Tre Metri Sopra il Cielo is a gem within a gem ! I have never experienced such kindness from a host as I did with Gaetano. The B&B is beautiful, authentic, classic and you are made to feel like you're visiting family. My room was fantastic - beautiful balcony overlooking the wonderful stairs, and importantly a very comfy bed, great air con and a lovely big en suite bathroom with fab shower. Gaetano being so kind to collect me and my hideously heavy luggage from the station, give me a guided tour of the town with great history on the way to the house, I had a lovely welcome with coffee and delicious home made cakes and a fresh fruit bowl made for me to take to my room - then great recommendations on what to do/see and restaurants; then the breakfasts .... served on the most beautiful terrace, with completely clear unrestricted views over the town .... the feast of food provided was incredible, generous and varied. It was just a wonderful way to start the day ! And to top it all, Gaetano so incredibly kindly took me back to the station at 5.30am ... on a Saturday. I absolutely want to return to Caltagirone one day ... and will only stay at Tre Metri Sopra il Cielo .... but next time, only with a backpack 😀. Grazie mille Gaetano - Ricorderò sempre il mio periodo a Caltagirone e mi piacerebbe tornarci, ma la prossima volta solo con uno zaino, promisso !

“Lovely B&B overlooking Caltagirone”

We stayed on the top floor of this B&B. It is situated about three quarters of the way up the famous Caltagirone Staircase. The host was excellent and told us some history and detailed recommendations where to visit. The room was really nice with a spectacular view of the city and countryside. Bathroom was modern and large shower. They provided fruit and water and offered us drinks and a sweet on our arrival. Room was a good size and there was a kettle provided. The breakfast was amazing - so much choice! The host was very responsive to messages.

“Perfect place in Caltegirone!”

I was not prepared for how nice this place would be. We booked both rooms on the second floor and it really felt like we had our own apartment. The rooms were cozy but well decorated and each had their own washroom and deck. The decks looked right out on the famous stairs of Caltegirone. The view to the out over the city from the room was absolutely stunning and unexpected. The breakfast each morning is extensive and the owner is the nicest man. He had a lot of stories about the city which I loved. The view from the place you have breakfast is even better than in the room. If you want a nice place to stay in Caltegirone, you can't really go wrong here.

The host was super heart-warmes and welcoming when we arrived he prepared us generous coffee with cakes, as well as an interesting introduction into this town and some amazing tips for food and drinks. The location of this apartment it’s fantastic and we basically think it offers the best view of the town and you also get a very nice renovated decorated room full of love culture in arts. Breakfast at the rooftop to raise with sunshine and multiple options was completely highlighted as well. We even got friends asking us which restaurants they could go for this kind of breakfast in Catagione.

The hosts are generous and willing to help and provide information on the city's history and even guided us with his car to a place where we could park our car. The room and the house have authentic feeling and special experience. The breakfast is served on a balcony with an amazing view. The location is great, on the ceramic stairs:)

Wonderful location on the famous steps. Parking possible on the 'main' road above. Breakfast on the lovely terrace with a view was a feast, and we really did feel like pampered guests in the house.
