“A comfortable stay in a perfect location.”
Its location was very near the beach and convenient for my visit. The facilities were good - lovely pools (1 indoor and 1 outdoor) and a spa..The staff were easy to converse with in English. The hotel was kept very clean and my room was serviced every day. The air con worked well as did the bath/shower and fridge! The breakfast buffet was excellent and very extensive. There are some bars, shops, a pharmacy and the tourist train stop in the vicinity. Beniconnect stops nearby, too, from Alicante airport.

“Ok but dated”
Right next to beach. Friendly staff. Excellent 'No reserving sunbed' rule, which was strictly enforced. 4 Excellent modern lifts, which never got crowded.

All kinds of problems with room. Electrical outlets with sparks shooting out. Furniture all broken. Many more problems ESPEVIALLY WITH BOOKING.COM CUSTOMER SERVICE!! NO HELP AT ALL

“It was OK.”
I know the Esmerelda well, it’s in a great place by the beach. The pool is very nice. If you get a sea view room it is lovely. On this occasion I didn’t think much of the breakfast food , average at best but all around me seemed to like it. My room was not sea view, it was a bit grim tbh but it was only me so didn’t want to upgrade for €250. Everyone in the hotel appeared to be having a very good time.

We got a room that did not meet our expectations. Sunless balcony, obvious marks (brownish) about roof leakage and damaged doors of cloth wardrope. Those could be repaired. An unexplained metalgrid did not make the room more attractic. We missed fresh vegetables at breakfast. There were only cooked tomatoes and carrots offered.
