Overview
Located on the shores of Calabogie Lake is Calabogie Peaks Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection. Situated on Ontario's tallest ski mountain, the resort allows guests to enjoy a myriad of activities of which includes skiing, snowboarding and also lake and beach activities. It also offers free WiFi in all rooms. A flat-screen cable TV, a DVD player, a seating area and an en suite bathroom are featured in all suites and hotel rooms. Styled in dark wood furnishings, all rooms are decorated in old world accents and white plush linens at Calabogie Peaks Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection. A hair dryer, an ironing board and a coffee maker are also included. Some enjoy a kitchenette or a kitchen. Guests can relax in the hot tub or workout in the fitness centre. Alternatively, outdoor activities such as golfing, hiking, tennis and evening bonfires can also be arranged. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Cathooks restaurant is located on site. Seasonal and local foods are featured in all dishes. In the summer months, the Boathouse Bar & Grill sells sandwiches, ice cream and salads.

“Beautiful place to stay over Thanksgiving weekend”
Fast check-in, welcome staff, spacious and clean room, comfy beds. There was some small issues with room supplies, staff helped to solve the problem right away. We went over Thanksgiving long weekend, the chairlift is add-on bonus for us to see the fabulous fall colors around the hotel.

Breakfast was in a small room sat with other guests. Just had to get it yourself, fruit, sandwiches which looked yuk, cereal. Not great. Make your own hot drink, cold drinks available.

Beds were very comfortable. Easy access to Eagles Nest Lookout and Manitou Mountain Trail, which was great. Lots of parking. Restaurant menu looked good but didn't get to eat there because it was closed on the night we stayed. Strong, reliable wifi. Easy access to the town.

“Other other than breakfast and the television everything else was fine”
We did not have breakfast because the hotel was booked fully and the little room that you have for the continental breakfast was just packed we ate elsewhere
