We were made to feel very welcome and were really well looked after. Breakfast was delicious and healthy and eating it on the beautiful terrace was a joy. Parking right outside was easy. We were only sorry that the host did not have room for us to stay longer.

Clean, comfortable and friendly. Good location for our visit to see friends. Breakfast included which was good.

“Warm tranquility at a beautiful place”

Everything was perfect. Quiet location with great views and terraces. Tranquility and very nice atmosphere. Art everywhere and I liked the books! All created by Joaquin who is a very warm and friendly person. It was lovely having a conversation with him at the end of the evening on the terrace with a glass of wine. And don't forget the breakfast. We will come back.

“Cozy stay in friendly place”

The hotel was very clean, good location, easy to park. Room was nice and bed comfortable. A/C and hot water was functioning quick. Owner was very kind and polite. He made a little present for my husband, who had birthday.

Everything was superb, not least the hosts who allowed me to check-in later when my flight was delayed. Nothing was a problem and they were very accommodating. The room was comfortable and well-presented and the breakfast was substantial, tasty and varied.

Fabulous small hotel. Very peaceful and with great views over Calabardina, but still only a 5 minute stroll down to the beach. Joaquin is a fantastic, friendly and very helpful host, and the whole place has an air of calm elegance about it. The breakfasts are excellent and extremely filling too! I stayed here twice, for a total of 11 days in all, and would thoroughly recommend.

“Quiet comfortable place to relax”

A great little hotel for us on a trip around Spain. It is quiet and overlooks the town from a height, the views are spectacular. We could sit and look over the town, have a read, go for a walk, basically just relax, it’s the ideal place. Parking is easy with plenty of space at the front of the hotel to park for free. Joachim is very welcoming and provides drinks and coffee etc when requested. He is a nice person to talk to and loves talking about the area. Plenty of space in the bedroom and good beds. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby so no need to use the car. We found a group of bars near to a hotel on the main road that were much better value than the beach bars. Breakfast prepared by the host was lovely

The hotel itself is lovely but it’s the people there that make it extra special. I really felt like an old friend that was given a special welcome. Very comfortable room, lovely terrace and the next morning a delicious breakfast as well.

This gem is located at an authentic beachside village. It is perched on the hillside with lovely bay views and cool afternoon breezes. The hosts are lovely and welcoming, and the breakfast is superb.

Staying at this hotel was like stepping into a living, breathing art gallery from a bygone era. The walls are adorned with old documents, exquisite art pieces, and fascinating maps that tell stories of the past, giving the entire place a unique and enchanting vibe. Tucked away in the hills, it's secluded enough that you feel far removed from the hustle and bustle of Calabardina, almost like you've discovered a hidden gem in a remote town. It's a truly unique experience—a place where you can easily lose yourself for hours, admiring the beautiful art and soaking in the magnificent views. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat with a touch of history and elegance, this is the perfect spot.

“Mayari magic.”

I booked on the strength of the reviews I had read and I was not disappointed. The owners are very relaxed and make sure that you feel welcome. The views from the room we booked were excellent. Sea view from one window and a mountain view from the other. I liked the proximity of the hotel to the beach, an easy stroll to the coastline and the restaurants but far enough not to hear the noise from them. We booked during the Spanish holiday, and the beachfront was mobbed till late at night, but it did not affect our sleep. The rooms are fairly basic, but they are comfortable and spotless. The en suite bathroom was really nice, too.The breakfast on the terrace looking across the bay was my highlight, and I will be booking again in September. It was also excellent value for money. The owners have some interesting historical maps and artwork on display around the house and it enhances the experience of staying there. We only spent one night there but I would have liked more.
