“Cosy bungalow surrounded by nature”
Great little budget accommodation, only a couple of minutes' walk from Cahuita park and the village itself. Great gardens with lots of wildlife including capuchin monkeys, howlers and birds . At night there are lots of frogs at the property pond. As per other reviews, we saw more wildlife here than in the park itself

“Abundant wildlife on your doorstep”
There are 2 sites to this property. We stayed at the smaller site which looked more basic and compact. Our bungalow was small but had everything we needed, fridge, coffee maker, kettle, private bathroom, air conditioning, decking area, communal kitchen if you wanted to cook and a comfortable bed with mosquito net. Cahuita is a small town, just 1 street with everything you need within a few meters of the accommodation, the National Park was literally behind our room. The bungalows are situated in a small garden area where we had regular visits from capuchin and howler monkeys, raccoons, coatis, agouti, hummingbirds and we even saw a caiman in the small creek on the boundary. One morning a neighbouring guest found a young sloth asleep curled around a yucca plant on the floor. The owner extracted him and placed him in a tree where he stayed until night and then moved on. We did visit the National Park and walked for 6 hours, we saw plenty in the canopy but to be honest our accommodation offered much more close up of the wildlife. The walk is challenging and not really suited if you are not reasonably fit. Paths were mainly dirt trails and the deeper you go the harder it gets, you need to wade through the in coming tide and clamber over trees and vegetation. You don’t have to complete the whole walk you can turn back anytime. Cahuita is a lazy slow paced town with plenty of restaurants, I don’t believe you’ll ever find yourself unable to find a table. Island Restaurant up the first side street on your right is well worth a visit, food was delicious (we went twice). Surprisingly the sea is rough and not safe for swimming, Puerto Viejo had much bigger beaches with lifeguards on duty but still not much of the water was flagged safe for swimming, the coastline is rugged. We visited Cahuita, Quepos, Santa Elena and Grecia. CAUHITA was my favourite and I wouldn’t hesitate to book the same accommodation again - it was PERFECT for us.

Absolutely fantastic place! Very comfortable and cosy. The bungalow had everything we needed and even more. Fridge, kettle, mosquito net, aircon, coffee maker. There is a fully equipped outside kitchen as well. The bungalows located just outside of the Cahuita national park we saw many animals while having our morning coffee on the terrace. The staff was very helpful and gave us useful information about the place. There is a laundry service as well.

“The best place to stay in Cahuita.”
Located on the edge of Cahuita national park. We saw the same number of animals in the garden as in the park. The bungalow had everything we needed and even more, including fridge and coffee machine. There is a fully equipped kitchen for guests use. The staff was very helpful. The place is in a short walking distance from the restaurant area.

“Stay next to Nationalpark with lots of wildlife around”
The bungalows are located right next to the national park, so if you're looking for wildlife like we were, it's the perfect place to stay. Most of the animals we saw were actually in the garden: caiman, green iguana, green basilisk, white-faced capuchin, agouti, black vulture, and many others. Leandro, the host, showed us a pond with amphibians such as the red-eyed tree frog. He also speaks German and was always available whenever we had questions. On the morning of our departure, he even came by to exchange money for us because we were heading to Panama and hadn’t managed to withdraw US dollars from the bank the day before. Our room had air conditioning, which was also very nice.

“So close to the national park and the beach”
The accommodation was right on the edge of the park and really close to the entrance to the national Park, which was lovely too. Take your bathers to the national park. We saw lots of capachun monkeys in the property. The gardens are very natural & nice and the rooms are pretty good, perhaps due for a little refresh, but still overall, a nice place to stay with a communal kitchen if needed

Beautiful location nestled amongst trees and plants with wildlife around - we saw a troop of capuchin monkeys playing just a few metres from our room! Felt like a very unique experience. Easy, short walk to Cahuita National Park and town, with restaurants and bars and a supermarket.

“This is now the ONLY place I will stay in Cahuita!”
Ive been to Cahuita 4 times but I have found the best location! Im sure Im not he first to say we saw more animals here, then in the park. Every day we were blessed with a Howler Alarm :) and troops of Cappuchins came thro the yard daily. Any small issue we had were immediately addressed. Comfortable beds, regular housekeeping and close enough to everything, and far enough away that it is very quiet.

Attractive wooden bungalows in a wonderful natural garden. Had howler monkeys and capuchin monkeys. Our room was fan only but was perfectly ok during our visit. Kettle and coffee maker. Has a well equipped communal kitchen. Very nice helpful owner.
