The staff was very friendly and helpful; they even made us sandwiches for a day outing of hiking and climbing. The food was always delicious! Great breakfast as well! The hotel is in a great location to drive to areas such as the beach, the caves of El Soplao, Santillana del Mar (cuevas de Altamira) and other great places.

The hotel is situated next to the railway line but we were not disturbed by it. The staff are all friendly especially the girl who checked us in on arrival and served us dinner at night. We were allocated room 302 which was a big room with 2 big comfy beds. The bathroom was also big. We had a drink in the bar which had good prices. We ate at the hotel in the evening which was quite busy and chose the fixed price menu which was 17 euros and good value. Breakfast the following morning had a lot of variety and some very nice pastries and cakes.

Lovely hotel for a group of women travelling. Handy location, 28 mins from airport and we were travelling to different places around for a few days i.e. Garabandal, Covadonga, Zurita. Bedrooms and ensuites were so clean, beds were very comfortable. So convenient with restaurant in the hotel, which meant we could eat before we left for the day and get alright dinner on return. Bar also available. Excellent value for money and will stay there again.

The proprietor is also chef and a master baker - the food was superb, generous quantities, and a marvellous range of baking, patisserie etc. Restaurant clearly popular with local people, providing local specialties, good Spanish cooking.

The staff went the extra mile although check in was a bit of a challenge because of the language problem, only one person spoke anything other than Spanish and our Spanish is non existent. The restaurant was excellent and served a variety of very tasty meals and a menu to suit all taste. The mussels were amazing. The hotel is situated just off the motorway so is a good pit stop en route to the ferry port.

Very well appointed room.Much better than the4 star one the night before. Mountain views and a lovely unmanned rail crossing outside the hotel.

Room was a good size and very clean. Restaurant had good selection on the menu. Probably one of the best breakfasts in Spain. Staff very helpful.

The family owned hotel was exellent. We went with 2 motorbikes on a trailer and we had the opportunity to park trailer and bikes in the big underground garage. The hotel team were helping straight away. I really recommend this hotel, i travelled already al lot arround the world and have a lot of experiences this one is 9/10 on a overall scale. Breakfast a fresh goods and evening dinner nicely made and for a price you cant't refuse !

Great location, 35 mins from Santander airport, easy access to Garabandal, Comillas, Santillana del Mar and Altamira, the coast and beaches and for exploring Cantabria. The hotel is 500m from the local train station which services Santander. Our room was clean , beds comfortable. bathroom spotless. The hotel itself was spotless. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful with self service in the spacious dining room. Staff were friendly , in particular Juan, who had good English and was always friendly and helpful. The restaurant offers a good choice of meals, salads, meat, chicken, fish. Looking forward to a return visit, plenty to see and visit in Cantabria from here.
