Overview
YHA Cape Byron, Byron Bay is located in the centre of Byron Bay and is only 200 metres from Main Beach. You can relax in the common areas surrounding a large heated pool and BBQ area. Come and enjoy the free use of boogie boards or hire a surfboard or bike. Cape Byron YHA Hostel is 3 km from Cape Byron Lighthouse and it is 20 minutes’ drive to Crystal Castle. Free walking tours to the lighthouse and other weekly activities are available. Private and dormitory rooms are available. All rooms have access to shared bathroom facilities. Facilities include a cafe, dive centre and separate TV/reading room. The tour desk can arrange sea kayaking, surfing lessons, hang-gliding, horse riding and trips to Nimbin. Limited, parking available for a fee.

“Clean, nice place to chill and good location”
Good facilities, lovely pool and chilling space. Bathrooms were clean. Room basic but clean. They also gave us a day pass on checking out so we could come and go as we didn’t leave till the evening.

“Chilled out hostel”
Amazing location to beach and town. The atmosphere was chilled and relaxed with lots of table space to eat and socialise outside the kitchen, a quieter living room bit and a pool. Big kitchen space that was kept clean. 5 bed female dorm was clean and comfortable! Able to use a day pass for all facilities expect bedroom which was so helpful between check out. Its social in a less forced way which is nice.. The yoga sessions are held at other building 5 mins away, but its easy to meet nice people in byron.

Nice place to stay, close to the beach and supermarkets. Rooms and common spaces always super clean. It is good for people looking for a quiet place to stay.

“Nice play to stay with good sized private rooms”
Very good location. The rooms were well-sized and the bathrooms were kept clean. Aircon was good and beds were comfy. I didn't use the kitchen but it looked a good size. Washing facilities available. Reception staff were friendly. There were social activities for a small fee (yoga/pilates etc).

They upgraded us to an apartment in the other unit. It was good, with a lot of space and good amenities. Location was good.
