“First taste of Brazil!”

The atmosphere, the outside areas were fantastic- pool, jacuzzi, beach, heated pool! staff were amazing and location, too! Food was incredible, just missing more options on the menu for people staying longer than a few days as not many restaurants in the area.

The staff is incredibly thoughtful, I can't say enough nice things about everyone we interacted with. It really feels like a personal experience. The restaurant has really, really good food, especially the breakfast (the hype is real!) and the snacks you can have by the pool. Location is great, it sits on a cliff with amazing views to ferradura beach and you can access the beach from the hotel, which is super convenient.

Love staying at Insólito. It is my favourite hotel. The design and atmosphere is amazing. There is plenty of generous space, two pools, easy access to the beach, great restaurant and the staff are so nice and accommodating.

• Not far from Buzios centre • Outstanding service. Really one of the best I’ve seen. Every staff member genuinely goes above and beyond, always anticipating your needs. • Exceptional gym, pool, jacuzzi, etc • Fantastic beach setup — beautiful, great vibe, and direct access to a quieter beach. • Never felt crowded — plenty of space at breakfast, the pool area, and loungers; the hotel manages flow extremely well.

The location is beautiful and there are plenty of nooks to hang out in without it feeling too busy. The staff are fantastic and kind. Decent breakfast good room service option. The private beach is lovely and empty. Spa is beautiful location massage was average

“Tranquil place”

Very lazy and silly attitude of the receptionists: they were lazy and not helpful, didn’t know how to make a phone call to Rio!!!

Stunning location and excellent layout of the hotel around the coast with different views from each area. Communal areas well designed. The staff were outstanding and although the language barrier caused some laughs everyone tried hard to communicate. The food in the restaurant was outstanding in quality.

“Don’t be fooled”

I came here with my wife for our honeymoon for a nice relaxing holiday. Overall I was very disappointed as this hotel is not as advertised (we ended up leaving early). Online and on social media it is portrayed as a welcome relaxing getaway. It is quite the opposite and I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing holiday. There is an awful day club right beside the hotel which plays terrible loud music all day long and it can be heard very loudly in your bedroom. This is NOT how the hotel is advertised on their website (spa boutique). Every Saturday there are outdoor weddings in a nearby hotel that also play very loud music until past midnight so do not expect to get a good nights sleep or be able to unwind. The servers in the hotel although very nice do not have a word of English (literally mean zero English) and just keep talking to you in Portuguese. I understand this is a Portuguese speaking country but at least servers should understand some very basic English (in other top hotels in the area they do). In the morning times there is a lack of beach towels and we were told nearly each morning to come back after 1pm for towels. There are only 25 rooms so this is very disappointing that they do not have towels ready. The breakfast is really good with lots of options and probably the best thing about this hotel. The restaurant is only average and very expensive so look elsewhere. The rooms are adequate although not the cleanest. We also had a really nice massage. But the hotel is really let down by the continuous loud banging music constantly heard day and night. We left the hotel 3 days into our stay and moved into a different hotel to enjoy the rest of our honeymoon which turned out to be a great decision. The manager did absolutely nothing for us after we explained our unhappiness of the hotel. Overall I would not recommend this hotel as there are much better options for similar price elsewhere in Búzios.
