Martha inBurnt Pines was ideally located and met all of our expectations. The hosts even provided snorkelling gear for us to enjoy Emily Bay. And added bonus was the access to plentiful fruit trees in the backyard, which we made lots of use of.

Location within walking distance of main shopping area. Property very private and quiet and very large garden. Great outdoor / bbq area overlooking garden. Perfect for our group of two couples and two singles (4 bedrooms/ 2 bathrooms). Very well equipped kitchen with ample crockery, cutlery, etc. All staff very friendly and efficient/responsive in our dealings.

Our stay at Meryta was perfect and we could not fault anything. The house is huge, very comfortable and cosy, plus superbly appointed. We spent 6 nights at Meryta and there was nothing extra we required. Plenty of extra linen, the kitchen was well stocked with enough equipment to enable us to eat in when desired. We booked our car with Wayne, the Meryta host and this made getting to and from the airport and around the island so easy. There is so much to do on Norfolk Island and staying at “Meryta” truly made our holiday memorable. It was such a peaceful and private location, we wish we had stayed longer.

The property is indeed beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Meryta. The rooms, surround and ambience were first rate. Jess, Wayne and Ian were so helpful with our questions and requests, they were great so please pass on our thanks to them. Only 2 items we would like to note : 1. Both bathrooms are in major need of exhaust/ventilation fans etc as the rooms completely drip after hot showers and we needed to blow dry the mirrors to see anything. 2. Bed and bath linen need to be changed/refreshed at least every 7 days for better service. Although I will note that we had a general clean once in our 10 day stay which was good. Thank you. Robyn
