“The perfect home base!”

We travelled as a group of adults visiting family at Christmas and Bucks Point House was perfect for us. It was the perfect place to make home for 2 weeks. The house is spacious and clean, and the 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were excellent. The property has Starlink satellite internet which was perfect - I had to do some work while I was on the island and had no issues. We also streamed a lot via Netflix or YouTube on the TV which worked well. While we ate out a lot over the trip, it was fantastic to have a large kitchen and we were able to make our own breakfast and cook dinners with ease. We were also able to do some christmas baking :) It was also great to be able to easily do some loads of laundry, as well as having a small portable washing line available to dry swimmers and towels on after the beach. The bedlinens were all pure cotton, which was such a pleasant surprise! They are much more comfortable in the humidity. Each bedroom, as well as the loungeroom, came with a portable fan. Each room also has windows that have flyscreens, which makes it easy to have the house opened up each night and not worry about bugs. We really enjoyed the balcony spaces - it was lovely to sit outside and have a cup of tea watching the scenery - be it the ocean or the cows wandering past! Our host also organised our hire care which was a small hatchback that was perfect. Even though there was public holidays during our stay, the bins were emptied regularly and before/after those days.

We were met on arrival at the airport by a representative for Buck Point House and our hire car was there for us to collect as well. After loading our luggage into the car, we followed her to the house where she explained a few things regarding rubbish, washing, keys and completed the paperwork for payment of house and car rental. The house has 2 bathrooms and the beds were very comfortable. There were 2 verandah areas with plenty of seating and one was undercover for rainy weather.

Being 4 females, we had a bedroom each sharing 2 bathrooms, plenty of room. Nice and quiet.

Fabulous! We were met on arrival, given a great handover and then settled in to a very comfortable home away from home. We had everything we needed, including wifi and comfy beds. The balcony provided a wonderful place to eat breakfast and watch the birds, sip an afternoon drink and wait for the sun to set, or star gaze in the clearest night skies - no light pollution!
