Overview
Set 20 minutes' drive from Burgersfort, Lepêllê Lodge is set on the the Elandsdoorn Conservancy, nestled in the picturesque Spekboom River Valley. All units at Lepêllê have a patio or balcony with either views of the bush or river. The self-catering units offer a kitchen, fitted with a microwave, toaster, a fridge as well as a dining area. The tents are located at the Tholo Tented Camp, nestled between majestic cliffs and rocks. Meals can be enjoyed at the on-site restaurant, which also offer packed lunches. Barbecue facilities are available. Guests can relax by the outdoor pool or work out in the fitness centre. Recreational activities include table tennis, billiards and darts. The area is popular for cycling and bird watching. Hiking trails across the conservancy provide nature lovers intimate encounters with game and breathtaking bushveld vistas.

The location is very bad, and the road is horrible. Was stuck on the property with flat tires and no available help unless you arrange it yourself. If the location were not so remote, I could have arranged transport and still done my work for the day. Because of the location, I could not find any Uber, Bolt, or anything, and lost a day's work and income.

A little bit of a drive to get to the property. I saw so many animals just to get to reception and on my way out: herds of buck, monkeys, baboons, wild boars and so many birds. The rooms and restaurant had wonderful ambience. I was blown away by dinner. Props to the chef Frans 👏 Looking out from my balcony I finally found a space to look out at nature without artificial lights shining in my eyes. I have been searching for such a place for years. I stayed in the Loerie room which is at the edge of the property looking on over Spekboom river and the mountains. The property was gorgeous and I felt like I was cocooned by nature, yet at the same time the luxury and class was evident in the service and amenities. .thank you so much for hosting me .

Stunning location. Quiet yet with all one needs including good WiFi. Bonus of spotting quite a bit of wildlife on the road to the lodge.

This is a hidden gem! Like paradise under our noses. From the moment we entered the gates we saw a variety of wildlife, birds, trees. The location and views are stunning and the food was excellent.

“Beautiful, peaceful and great staff”
Staff is great, Brand and Mpho was looking after our needs and always asking if we need anything. The breakfast was really good. The saterday we went out early and we got breakfast packets to take with. It's really beautiful there and so peaceful.

“A fabulous stay.”
What a great find. You know on the long gravel road in that it’s going to be fabulous and it is. Lovely lady greeted us and really looked after us for the few days we were there. Lovely room, comfortable beds and a hot shower. Beautiful views over the river and valley. There’s a common room with lots of books, sofas, pool table, tennis table AND a piano. Fantastic. Food in the restaurant was also very good and the breakfast was excellent.

Situated close to the Spekboom River and in a more remote part of the Elandsdoorn Conservancy, these rustic-style chalets have 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Please note that there is no electricity, but gas and solar power are used for lights, hot water and a freezer. Firewood is available at a fee. The chalets are in close proximity to the hippo pool. Access is strictly with Bakkie or 4x4 NO cars.
