The property is exactly as described. A small, remote, hotel next to a tiny rural village. It includes some shared SPA facilities. 2 hot-tubs (1 inside the spa area, 1 outside), 1 regular sauna, one infra red sauna, and an outdoor pool. All easily accessible and no need to book a time slot. All kept in clean conditions. The room was small but very comfortable, with a big walk in shower. Inside there is lovely decorations and wonderful LED lights that can change colour to your liking. Service: Irena, the owner, is lovely and very hospitable. Always ready to help with a smile and share local knowledge of the area. We had a special allergy request for my partner. No effort was spared to make sure she could enjoy the breakfast to the fullest. All in all 10/10 service, property and location.

“The Perfect Place”

I have stayed here many times and have become friendly with the Management and the Staff. This is a family friendly and easy going place where you can breathe in the fresh air of the Ardennes, cycle or hike the RAVel and visit the plentiful and interesting scenic sites. What I like most is the ambience. The staff are friendly, the food tasty and the grounds are green. To further enjoy the stay take a walk into the nearby village off Burg Reuland and have a coffee or something colder in the local and welcoming Boulangerie and bar. At the wonderful cultural and tourist centre in the village Vanessa and Maria will hire you a bicycle or let you use the library. There is a beautiful church and castle easily visited and horse riding should you wish. There is even an Alpaca farm and I saw my first Kettle of hawks along the RAVel. Enjoy life and support these resilient and enterprising people revive their tourist economy where you can take a step back and enjoy the Ardennes.

This Hotel on the edge of the scenic medieval town of Burg Reuland is an example of how human spirit can overcome adversity. The family that own the hotel have ensured its survival by their resilience and ability to adapt to the COVID driven restrictions that have challenged the hospitality industry. The hotel itself is accessible by a good road and is well served by public transport with ample car parking. The recreational facilities are excellent and include an outdoor pool, tennis court and games facilities for young and old. The grounds are spacious and border the Ravel ‘cycle and hike pathway’ that extends the length of East Belgium. The fixed menu food cooked by Dusty and served to your room is very tasty and well presented. The service is outstanding and Irene, the hostess, a very friendly and professional hotelier. I have stayed here several times in the last year and am a hiker. I can recommend this hotel as both a resting spot and a location from which you can explore the surrounding scenic countryside which is suitable for bikers, hikers and the less energetic traveller of every age and ability. Finally the air is pure, the rivers clean and the country side green. Enjoy this friendly welcoming Belgian hotel with a wonderful staff and great atmosphere of traditional hospitality that is set in the outdoor paradise of the Ardennes.
