“Incredible family guesthouse in the middle of the rice fields and mountains of Lemukih”

Extremely friendly kind and friendly family running this humble but super well organised property in the middling Lemukih village. The view they have over their rice terrace field is mind blowing. In addition Budah was really super helpful to come with me and show me the nearby waterfalls

We had the most magical 4 days in Lemukih! Buda and his family were so kind and welcoming, they took us to explore the nearby waterfalls, natural waterslides, temples and we even participated in a water purification ritual with a holy priest where we were the only tourists! Everything was super well organised, Buda himself is exceptionally knowledgeable, we loved learning about Hinduism and Lemukih. Food was great, we were treated to fresh fruit every day; the views from our hut were unbelievable and we loved walking through Buda’s rice fields with their dog Mickey! No notes, it was an incredible few days and a stay we will remember and would 100% return to!

“Wonderful family!”

The family were wonderful! Very friendly, quick to accommodate any requests we had, and Mari was great as a tour guide for the waterfalls. We asked if they could show us how they make satay and they were happy to let us into the kitchen and have a go at grinding the peanuts. Meke(?) the dog was super lovely also. Good value for the price, and convenient that they had a simple menu and could cook food for us whenever we needed it (at a cost). A little unrelated, but Gede, the local driver they arranged for us at our request on our second day was fantastic too, we loved the hours we spent on the drive hearing about his culture, history and life. Beds were comfy, and there was a nice spot to eat/relax with a view just outside the room.

“Felt right at home in Lemukih”

We had a great time at budas. The homestay is simple but tidy and the view on the valley is really nice. Buda and his family took great care of us and made us feel right at home. This destination is a good opportunity to see some of the less touristic and more authentic sides of Bali which we greatly enjoyed. Buda and family can give you some really interesting insights into the culture, nature and religion. We also recommend the waterfall tour: the nature around Lemukih is absolutely stunning and compared to the oftentimes crowded waterfalls on the island this was an amazing experience.

Amazing place with great view! Buda and his family were really helpful and were able to take us on excursions showing great flexibility and being able to make our stay really enjoyable! Breakfast and food in general were great, there are water fountains to refill our water bottles! I would recomend without any second thougts!

We had such an amazing time at Buda‘s Homestay. It‘s an absolute beauty in the middle of the stunning nature and the village of Lemukih. Buda and his family are so warm and welcoming. We did an unforgettable waterfall tour with Buda and learned so much about the village, their culture and religion! After the tour we had a very relaxing massage at the homestay. The food was very delicious. Everything was just perfect. We will be back again!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay and the guided tour with Buda and his daughter to the waterfall. Buda was very informative and has a wonderful knowledge of the nature. Together with Buda's kindness and really caring for his guests made our stay an experience we will never forget. Buda and his whole family touched our hearts. I have no hesitation to recommend the Home Stay and I believe it is a must do and not to be missed when visiting Bali.

Buda and his family are super friendly, genuinely warmhearted and helpful people. I am very glad that I could book a pick-up and drop-off service as well. The accommodation is simple, but that was no problem for me. It’s in the middle of nature, which is why I picked it. I loved the peaceful location and the gorgeous view from the terrace. The food was very good as well. My highlight was the guided waterfall tour with Budas daughter. It was such a lovely experience, I had a wonderful time, got some amazing pictures and lots of interesting insights into village life and religious rituals. Thank you for making my stay so pleasant!

“An unforgettable experience deep in the jungle”

The 24 hours spent at Buda’s Homestay were the highlight of our month in Bali so far. Buda and his family were extremely welcoming - so friendly and genuine. We went on the waterfall trek to Sekumpul and Fiji - some of the most beautiful nature we’ve ever seen - and Buda arranged a water purification ceremony at a local temple in the afternoon. Unlike the one near Ubud, this was a small local ceremony only attended by a few tourists a month. “The real Bali” as Buda proudly informed us. Being in these villages, deep in the mountains, surrounded by nature was nourishment for the soul. Thank you to Buda and your whole family - you were all so lovely! We especially enjoyed the conversation about Balinese Hindu philosophy.

“Very nice homestay”

The homestay is in a beautiful surroundings. Buda and his family are very friendly and warm people who will assist you with planning trips or traveling to your next location. The guided tour with Buda to the waterfalls and rice fields was excellent. Also a massage in the homestay was very relaxing. We enjoyed our stay here.

We loved everything here : the location, the peace and quiet, the room with a big window on the beautiful scenery (and the hammock!), the food, and most of all Buda and all his family, who are a real jewel. We did the 2 tours with Buda and loved it, we saw beautiful sights and learnt so much about the local culture. As we stayed for one week, we also did an other tour with Domi and we loved it too, he's also a great guide and driver! We highly recommend staying with them if you want to experience a bit of the local life, outside of the busy touristic places.

We had a great stay at Budas Homestay! The accomodation is in the middle of nature, surrounded by rice fields and the forest where you can find durian, avocado, papaya and coconut trees. You can stroll through the fields and reach a little river not far from the homestay, which is very beautiful. The views are amazing and so is the family of Buda. They are the most heartly and welcoming people you can imagine. We did a waterfall and rice paddy tour with Buda which was a blast and i highly recommend it. I assume that this is the purest Bali experience you can get. Buda explained us a lot about the cultivation of rice and at some local farmers we were offered fresh durian, bananas and snakefruit. If you are interested in Balinese traditions and Hinduism, Buda is very happy about sharing all his knowledge about it, we enjoyed it!

Buda and the family are so amazimg. Such a wonderful hospitality… so caring, warm, kind and welcomimg. Always with a smile and generousity. Dinner was great! One of the best home food we had. Specially the kids loved it. We hiked in the waterfalls and the area and everywhere Buda's name was opening doors and seemed all the locals knew and respected him. No wonder why! We thought we would stay 1 night, but extended for 2. I would spend here even more if we didnt have such short time in Bali and other places to see & explore. Wonderful. Highly recommended.

“Stay at Buda's if for authentic and simple balinese life in the jungle.”

Buda's Homestay is a gem in the middle of the jungle. We wanted to stay here because it is far away from the crowds, next to beautiful rice terraces and waterfalls and an authentic way to get to know balines people and their culture. All this was just perfect at this place. Buda and his wonderful family are the just the nicest people and so helpful with everything. We took the waterfall as well as the village tour and very much recommend doing both. You also support the locals when you stay here! There is so much to discover and Buda is just full of knowledge and happiness. We stayed only two nights but felt right at home. Terima Kasih ♥

“Wonderful little Guesthouse”

Very friendly family, good food, clean rooms, nice tour with Buda to waterfalls and rice fields. The premises are really nicely located overviewing small rice fields and hills. I liked the hammock in front of the room. They build new warm shower on their too floor which guests can use. In December no need for an AC, temperature during nighttime is ok to sleep without (though it would reduce the high humidity).

I recently had a wonderful stay at this location. The people there were incredibly kind and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Every interaction was pleasant and helpful, exceeding my expectations. Buda is an amazing person. Thank you for such a positive experience!
