Rex, Uschi, and Oreo are the perfect hosts! From the moment we arrived to the day we departed we were made to feel so welcome, and nothing was any trouble. We had the penthouse apartment, which was extremely well appointed, lovely large rooms and comfortable beds. My wife particularly enjoyed the little 'snug' bedroom beyond the bathroom (I snore, loudly). Breakfast was fantastic, with various bread rolls, croissants, meats, cheeses, and even smoked salmon! Eggs to order too, I loved the scrambled eggs and bacon. Coffee was delicious too. We have to say though, the highlight of our stay at Die Grüne Bettlad was Oreo the dog, such a character and a lovely boy with THE BEST ears! He joined us daily for breakfast and it put a big smile on our faces to start the day! Thanks for such a wonderful stay, we thoroughly enjoyed it, and it capped off a fantastic trip perfectly.

The hotel is not big, cozy, in the courtyard there are hundred tables where you can drink coffee or beer. Very good, quiet location in the city center. Very friendly hosts. The breakfast is very good, varied, the breakfast time will be agreed with the guest of the hotel. The room is clean, good toiletries.

A family run hotel with traditional construction & age-old infrastructure. It gives a nostalgic feeling to stay in a place which reminds of a traditional village of 19th century. The owners Rex & Ushi are managing it with a personal attention to each guest. They prepare breakfast like one gets served by mother or siblings. To be very honest, I relished tbe stay like I spent the night in a room of a typical Indian Village of early 80's.

Beautifully restored hotel steps from the centre of Buhl. Wonderful hosts who welcomed us with thoughtful extras and a very delicious breakfast! The room was spotless, spacious and tastefully decorated. Parking and air conditioning were a bonus. The place to stay in Buhl!

We had an amazing week based at Die Grüne Bettlad fantastically hosted by Uschi, Rex and their dog Oreo. From the warm welcome on arrival, to the beautifully restored building and super comfortable rooms to delicious breakfasts in the courtyard, we could not have asked for more. One of the best hotels we have stayed in with wonderful hosts. Thank you for a great experience.

The hotel resides in a quiet residential area and it a small family owned hotel dating back a hundred years in the sense of style. It's a rustic classic build southern German building and has been fully kept as original as possible. The location is perfect with a lot of restaurant option mere minutes walking from the hotel.

Everything was perfect, a very charming little cottage in Buhl and the owners are super hospitable.

The house is very old, I think a few hundred years, and it has a lot of character. During the check-in, my parents were upgraded so we had the top floor to ourselves. The rooms are spacious, in particular the bathrooms that had a huge walk-in shower. The property is also around the corner from Bühl city centre, but very quiet alt the same time. The owners are very friendly and their dog is very cute as well. It is a good place to use as a base for exploring the Black Forrest. I would definitely go back there if I need to make a stopover.

The owners are incredibly kind and generous - they went out of their way to make our stay special, recommending hikes and things to do and even going as far as to drive us to a restaurant we had booked. It really made the stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, inside and out - and the room was clean, comfortable and had lovely natural light. It's a great location to use as a base for exploring the black forest, although there isn't a huge amount to do in Buhl itself (it is pretty though!). Definitely requires a car to explore the surrounding area properly. Finally, a mention for the wonderful breakfast! We had a great time and would absolutely recommend.
