Dear Erika and her husband were truly wonderful hosts. Before my arrival in Bruges, Erika sent a very detailed and helpful email including all the information I could need, along with great recommendations for food and drinks around the city. The check-in and check-out processes were also very easy and smooth. The room was spotless, cozy, and very well organized. I would also like to thank them for the lovely treats and thoughtful details in the room. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. There was a great variety of food, and Erika’s homemade breakfast specialties were especially delicious. What made the mornings even more special were the lovely conversations we had during breakfast. They made my stay in the dream city of Bruges truly unforgettable. Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality!

“Brugge's Best B&B”

The hosts. Erika and Diedrich, were so hospitable. They made us feel very welcome and the continental breakfast was a great start to each day. Erika added something different each day including french toast, quiche and berry crumble. The b&b has a unique, quirky style which helped make the experience super special. Both hosts have a wonderful sense of humour and they are at the very top of their game. Excellent location - only a 5 minute walk to the town centre. The mattress was so comfortable. Flanell, the little dog is adorable.

“Beautiful stay in a charming place”

Absolutely everything. Erika and Dietrich are wonderful hosts, and their dog Flanel welcomed us every morning at breakfast. The breakfast was marvellous. The best breakfast we ever had in any accommodation. Everything was fresh, different every day, and with a warm surprise meal cooked by Erika and Dietrich. The room was big and nicely decorated with antiques, beds were comfortable. The property is located in a quiet place, away from the busy centre. You can rent bicycles at the property.

“B&B Le flaneur was a real find for us. We loved it, and would go back in a heartbeat.”

Bruges is a great city to explore on foot....and, it has cobbled streets so walking shoes are recommended. If you're happy walking, B&B Le flaneur is accessible on foot from the railway station. It took us about 45 minutes (with luggage and checking the map). Without luggage, we did it in 25 minutes. There are buses and taxis at the station for a quicker journey. The b&b is close to the main square (about a 5 minute walk), which means easy access to Bruges' attractions. It is run by a lovely couple, Erica and Dietrich, who offer a home-from-home and a warm welcome. They are knowledgable of the area, and Bruges, in general. The house is a treasure trove of curios, and items of interest. We loved this aspect of the property. And, if you don't mind dogs, you're in for a treat because the star of the show is 'Flan'! We booked bed and breakfast. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well kitted out. Breakfast was plentiful, delicious and catered for a vegetarian diet.

“Utterly charming!”

Absolutely everything at the property was perfect! The owner, Dietrich was such a delightful host and made every effort to make us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. His gorgeous little dog Flaneur made our stay even more special, with a friendly greeting each morning! The property itself is decorated so beautifully with antiques and Dietrich has designed and built everything personally, making it even more charming! The breakfast was INCREDIBLE, what a spread! Made with love and different each day - served in such a beautiful room with classical music and a cosy fire. Great location in a quiet part of town but a short stroll to all the action. This has been our favourite b&b experience ever!

“Bruges is a really excellent city, but Le Flaneur was the icing on the cake”

The whole experience - the authenticity of the accommodation, the stunning range of artefcats and curios, the friendly and genuine nature of Erika, Dietrich and of course Flanel! The breakfasts - as many others have already said - were superb; not only the quality and quantity of food and drink, but the setting and sharing with others (which we thought might be a bit awkward, but was actually a real pleasure!). Can't wait to come back again.

Erika and her husband are absolutely wonderful hosts and incredibly hospitable. We had an amazing stay, immersed in a warm, welcoming, and truly unique atmosphere, surrounded by beautiful objects collected from all over the world. The breakfast was simply outstanding, an incredible selection of both sweet and savory dishes, all delicious and more than plentiful. Flaneur, the little dog, was also incredibly sweet and affectionate and made our stay even more special. Highly, highly recommended! Plus, it’s only a 5-minute walk from Grotte Market.

Everything. The property was full of antiques, so many interesting things to look at. Erika & Deidrich were amazing hosts. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had anywhere.

“A gem of a B&B that’s worth a trip to Bruges.”

Hosts Erika and Dietrich are warm and welcoming. The B&B is centrally located, yet in a quiet area with a bus stop to the train station a short walk away. Erika started by marking up a city map and pointed out where I could find a free harp concert which was a joy! The property is decorated with care and whimsy, all original pieces are carefully chosen. My room was large and cozy with lots of complimentary treats. Erika’s breakfasts (including homemade fruit crumble, French toast) are sumptuous. It’s worth the trip to Bruges to stay at this special place.

Everything was perfect and beautiful. The property is welcoming and the owners are extremely friendly and kind. The breakfast is absolutely fantastic. Excellent location, the perfect place to stay in Bruges.

“Exceptional stay in a fascinating B&B Can’t wait to go back!”

We loved everything about Le Flaneur, from the warm welcome on our arrival to the amazing breakfasts! Fantastic location just 5 mins walk from the Xmas market. The quirkiness of the property made it a magical stay along with extremely comfy beds and a great shower! Erica and Dietrich were superb hosts and we look forward to going back.

The location for all the main attractions and scenic, relaxed 30min walk to train station. The hosts were top class, friendly, helpful, welcoming and great cooks.

“A wonderful, quirky, old-fashioned guest house in a beautiful part of Bruges”

The B&B is exactly what you can see on the photos on Booking, and the quality of everything matches prior reviews. The hosts Erika and Dietrich are welcoming and very helpful. They have furnished and designed the guest rooms and the breakfast room with antique furniture and vintage objects. Wherever you look there are things to discover, and Dietrich will happily talk to you about the history of each of them. The breakfast is one of the best we ever had. You share a large table with the other guests, and on one day of our stay we were a group of British, Dutch, Italians and us Germans. It was a very friendly atmosphere. Our room was large and stylish, obviously in a vintage-style way. Beds were extremely comfy. Erika and Dietrich helped with restaurant recommendations, rented bikes at a very reasonable price, and were generally just wonderful hosts.
