“Amazing cottage, nice relaxing place to stay on private grounds surrounded by nature”

The cottage is lovely, it has a nice friendly vibe, the table on the terrace is clean, surrounded by nature. The location is ideal if you are interested in wine tasting ( two vineyards are situated around the corner from this place) and exploring Saumur and the surrounding areas. The wine of the region is very versatile, ranging from dry white wine to rose, red and very sweet white wine. The beds are very comfortable, the area is so quiet so we had a very good night sleep.

Beautiful gardens and well laid out

Have stayed here twice now, each time for one night - once in November, and once in July. My partner and I stayed here as it was located just 15-20 minutes from our wedding venue so we stayed here the night before having our venue for the weekend. It is a truly lovely place to stay and such good value for money. The grounds are very pretty and relaxing. They're also gated, with parking, so all very secure. While we did not see the owner, they were very responsive on text/phone/through booking.com and the self check in was very easy. The house itself was great with one double bedroom and one room with two single. It had all we could need for a short stay. I can't really comment on the location as we didn't explore the local area due to us only staying there prior to our wedding and remaining on site the whole time, but it did seem to be a more secluded area. It was very quiet and calming and there is also a friendly cat on site. I would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful place in a lovely location. Very warm welcome from the helpful young man who lives and works there, whose name I'm afraid I forget. Secluded and secure. All good!

We recently visited a place that, unfortunately, didn't meet our expectations. Cleanliness, which is typically a high priority for us, fell short during our stay. This was especially noticeable in the living area and the bathroom. Regrettably, it wasn't the experience we had hoped for.

“A lovely little gite set in fabulous gardens”

Shower cubicle needed better cleaning as some mould was in evidence around the base of the walls. Also a 'drain' smell developed from the bathroom during the night. Whole house needed more attention to detail in cleaning e.g. around the tops of the skirting boards, mat in the kitchen area, however beds, towels etc were spotless.
