Bertrand is a fantastic host. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Great attention to detail. Even breakfast is set out in an art form! V comfy bed. Amazing building and gardens.

Our host couldn't have done any more to make our stay memorable. The location was absolutely out of this world and the room was sumptuous. Our host realised that we enjoyed relaxing in the garden, so breakfast on the second day was served....in the garden, which was such a lovely surprise.

We stayed here overnight while traveling back to the Netherlands from Les Arcs. The host Bertrand is incredibly kind and can share a lot about the history of the house and the village. The house is a beautiful building dating back to the time of Napoleon. You can see that it is old, but it has been renovated and maintained with great care and attention. We highly recommend taking a walk in the garden as well, it is beautiful. The room is fully equipped with all amenities and very clean. The bed was exactly to our liking. The breakfast is excellent and typically French, with croissants, great jam, local honey, and fruit. There are several charging stations nearby within a few minutes’ walk, which was very convenient for us with our electric car. Both we and our electric car were able to fully recharge here for the second half of our journey! Thank you for everything Bertrand, we will definitely come back!

Villa Joséphine is an interesting and important property, clearly a labour of love for Bertrand and his family. You are welcomed to share the family home and will stay in an absolutely stunning bedroom, beautifully furnished and impeccably finished. The en-suite bathroom and WC are well stocked and finished to a very high quality. Breakfast is simple but exactly what one needs and with quality ingredients. Car parking is secure within the properties grounds. The little town doesn’t have many eating options however Bertrand suggested a little bistro 5 minutes away which was busy, with good service and a decent menu.

Gorgeous house, decorated and furnished beautifully. We were welcomed by Bertrand and immediately felt at home. Our room was large and very comfortable, gorgeous bathroom with great amenities and the bed was extremely comfortable. The grounds of the house are a lovely bonus to relax in after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was lovely. This is a good base to explore the area. The town is quiet we were there over Sunday and Monday where much of it is closed as in most rural France! The highlight was being welcomed into Bertrand and his family’s home. We will definitely return and would highly recommend staying there.

Property is absolutely stunning and beautifully decorated . We stayed here as a couple , my first time in France fishing with my partner . So glad the one down the road was booked up . Easily the best looking place I’ve stayed in we felt like we was stopping in a royal stay . Bertrand was very welcoming from the beginning . Breakfast was all fresh pastry’s , baguettes , fruit and yogurt . Choice of hot drinks and orange Juice . We will definitely be returning when in the area . For any fisherman going to the lakes nearby it’s a 3 person room and you wont be disappointed . Also they have just had a toilet installed in the bedroom

Firstly I cannot praise the host, Bertrand, highly enough. He is charming, knowledgeable and very gracious. The property is delightful, well appointed with a beautiful garden. The bed was luxurious so a good nights sleep was had followed by a terrific breakfast. We found the property whilst trying to break up a long drive and will definitely return.

“A character property in an outstanding location.”

This is a very interesting old home that places great emphasis on Napoleon Bonaparte who, as a young man, attended the military academy opposite. The ceilings are a great height and help to keep the rooms cool although, there is an air conditioning unit should you require it. The area has many lakes and is a residence for visiting Storks and, of course, there is a Napoleon Museum nearby. The owner, Bertrand, goes to great lengths to improve this residence and had recently installed an en-suite toilet that was well finished whilst being interesting. He will provide you with all the information to make your stay a better experience, should you require it. His breakfast is excellent, and he has a great taste in music with which to accompany your enjoyment of it. Villa Josephine makes for a great stop off owing to its geographical position but, alternatively, would make an admirable base to explore the area. It is on a street with shops but, most traffic bypasses it and it didn't disturb us from sleeping at all. I believe you will not be disappointed with this establishment and, therefore, I highly recommend.
