Beautiful views over the lake, comfortable beds and fantastic kitchen facilities if you needed to cook your own evening meal. Maja, the Swiss owner, gave us a warm welcome including a little welcome pack of food and water in our room. The breakfast she made was exceptional with home made rosti with eggs cooked in any style with bacon, sausages and chicken. There were also platters of meats and cheeses, home made cakes, cereals, dried fruits and nuts and maple syrup. We heard about the bear and her cubs who came into the garden to show off her cubs but she was not visiting when we were there. A very comfortable stay in a quiet and peaceful setting with Maja and her husband

“Most welcoming”
We only passed by on our big tour through BC and therefore, sadly, spent only one night here. After a long drive, we gratefully, enjoyed Maja’s outstanding hospitality and kindness. The rooms were very comfortable and the big lounge spacious and well appointed. The shared kitchenette had everything you need to prepare a snack. Maja’s breakfast is outstanding and we felt very spoiled .

Everything, Maya and Juerg were fantastic Hosts, amazing breakfast. Great place to relax and get back to nature. peace and quiet, great wildlife (passing deer) and a chipmunk. The house and furniture were so beautiful. Shame we had to leave. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Helen, Paul, Alex & Josie

“Lovely clean and welcoming B&B next to a beautiful lake”
A little treasure in the woods on our road trip from Jasper to Whistler. we were greeted warmly by Maja and a deer warming themselves on her drive! Very clean, spacious homely rooms and we enjoyed the breakfast on the day we left. Sadly no bears! Thank you for the stay.

Maya is a very pleasant host with a human and friendly approach. Beautiful surroundings of the hotel, which will breathe you with peace and quiet. Absolutely fantastic breakfast prepared with love. The question is not whether to stay at this hotel, the question is how long. By far the best accommodation during our stay in Canada. Maya, thank you so much.

“Beautiful home off the beaten track with great views”
What a beautiful home in beautiful, peaceful surroundings overlooking a lake. Beautiful adjoining rooms very thoughtfully presented with added little touches of fresh fruit and sweets in the room. Lovely shared decking area and lounge area and a separate kitchen for preparation of drinks/snacks. Maya was very welcoming to her stunning home and the Swiss breakfast buffet was superb. Stopped here for one night during our wonderful holiday touring British Columbia and Alberta.

We have just spent 3 weeks travelling in Canada, staying in many BnBs and were made welcome everywhere we went. I can say without doubt that our stay at Little Black Bear Lodge was the best of the whole holiday This stunning property has a wonderful location above Bridge Lake (with a jetty) It is so peaceful and relaxing and we were able to watch bears and deer in the garden… just amazing 🤩 Maya is such a warm and welcoming host and has thought of every little detail to make your stay as perfect as possible. Her breakfast is superb and sets you up for the whole day.
