Overview
Situated in the centre of Briançon, 350 metres from the chairlift and 15 km from Monêtiers les Bains, Hôtel de la Chaussée offers a traditional restaurant, a bar and a terrace. Free Wi-Fi access is provided. The rooms at Hôtel de la Chaussée offer a flat-screen TV. The private bathroom includes free toiletries. A continental breakfast is available every morning and includes fruit purée, French pastries and marmalade. Dishes such as raclette and tartiflette can be sampled in the restaurant on site. Our hotel is part of the Logis chain. The restaurant is open every night except Sunday evening. The hotel does not have an elevator or air conditioning.

Loved the Alps decor on the walls. Staff very friendly even though they had minimal English. Secure undercover parking. Had a kettle and toaster. In the centre of Briancon and close to restaurants and shops. Microwave. Comfortable bed and pillows.

“Great hotel with great food in the city center of Briançon”
Very friendly staff, and apparently the attached restaurant downstairs is very good (I was not able to book a table though). Cosy mountain décor, and accessibility to the train station by 10 min on foot; and the main shopping street is right downstairs

“We had a comfortable and pleasant night stop in a charming hotel but in a rather unattractive town - probably looks bett”
The interior of the hotel is just as you imagine a chalet in the Alps should be, with lots of pine walls, beamed ceilings and stacked with attractive memorabilia, so very attractive and cosy. The bedroom was spacious, and the bed extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and dinner in the restaurant was very good although not a lot of choice of dishes. There was private, secure car parking available.

“Superb!”
The Loft room was great. A lot of space and very tastefully decorated. Traditional but with a modern twist. The breakfast was lovely and we ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was wonderful.

This was an unexpected pleasure. I opted to pay slightly more for a view and ensuite bathroom, and am very happy that I did. The decor is rustically wonderful. The bathroom is maybe the best one I've had in France. The beds are comfortable and the staff are very kind. Thumbs up from me.
