“Good value, comfortable hotel; I am quite picky, and I will be back.”

Location was superb for walking 100m to the ski pass shop & ski lift, and for going out in town for dinner & beer. Marco the host is ever-present, attentive, and knowledgeable, and bends over backwards to help both practically and with advice - all whilst wearing a traditional Alpine outfit.

The place felt truly authentic, full of character and soul, which made the stay very special. Marco was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, which added a warm personal touch to the experience. The location was excellent. A private sauna in the room; it was absolutely perfect after a long day on the slopes. Overall, it’s a spot with genuine charm and hospitality.

Very comfortable room with good amenities, the hotel is charming and Marco is a great host with excellent local knowledge. The walk to the chairlifts is very easy about 200 m on the flat.. Lots of good restaurants very near the hotel.

Marco was incredibly thoughtful & helpful throughout our stay, made us feel right at home. The hotel & rooms feel very cozy & comfortable, giving just the right vibe for a mountain stay & equipped with everything you need. We had a great view from the breakfast area each morning toward the mountain. The location is really great, right at the start of the pedestrian area, very short walking distance to the chairlift (a bit longer/ uphill walk to the gondola, but still perfectly doable). Heated ski room was very useful to leave our equipment in. Sauna also very nice to relax in after a day skiing.

We arrived at the hotel after midnight. Marco gave us very detailed instructions on how to get in. We had quite a big and wonderful room. We had a lovely l beakfest with a view to the slopes. Marco updated us every day on the upcoming weather. The hotel location is right in the middle of Cervinia, very close to the cairlift. The late checkout was perfect for us so we could sky on our last day. Thank you, Marco, for your generous hospitality.

Everything! Amazing place - superb location, very cosy, warm and comfortable rooms, very comfortable beds, pillows and duvets, sauna, and super owner/host Marco who has helped us with all the requests we had, advised restaurants, ski rental place, accommodated our late check out and told us lots of interesting facts about his family place and the area. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Thank you, Marco. We were a family of three, and our room had enough space for all, it also had everything we needed, water, tea, hairdryer, toiletries, fridge, TV. Breakfast was delicious, especially homemade pastries and biscuits. The hotel is literally 3 mins walk from the slopes, and all the restaurants and a small supermarket. Highly recommend this place and we are hopeful to return if skiing in Cervinia.

What a dream. I have stayed in many hotels in Cervinia ans this is by far the best. Unless you want super lux and have thousands to spend a night, then there is no comparison. Just do it. What a beautiful special atmosphere. Virtually ski in ski out. Amazing cookies.

You don't come to a hotel, you come to your old friend Marco who owns that hotel and treats you like his best guest. No matter how cold and windy outside, when you step inside you end up in a warm and peaceful place, decorated with love. It is the most cozy hotel I've ever been in Alps and I can't even imagine anything better. In the morning Marco will bake for you fresh croissant and you will have everything you may need for breakfast with an astonishing view. Hotel is 5 min walk from the ski-lift, and on your way back you can get on skies even closer. Good ski-room with heating and shoes dryers. Sauna (small but cute) available by request. The village itself is very nice and have a lot of good (and not so good) restaurants.

The owner Marco is a wonderful host, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast (and the view from the breakfast room) was superb. Two minutes walk from ski area, shops and restaurants.

We LOVED our stay with Marco in his hotel. Its been in his family for generations and you can tell that when you stay, he cares what your experience is like and goes out of his way to be helpful. So many occasions i find him helping me out (de-icing our car, helping me park, weather outlooks, suggestions for when lifts were closed). You're greeted every morning by a musical soundtrack at breakfast that adds to the hotels personality, Marco also wears some traditional attire! Guests all seem to subscribe to the recipe of a stay, and therefore people get on and enjoy the environment. Rooms are a decent size, clean, warm when needed, cool when needed, water for showers in plentiful supply every day, quiet past 10pm every night. There's a short walk to the lifts with your kit, but its no more than 5 mins tops and you can see where you're going from the hotel, it just takes 5 mins as you're in ski boots. There's lots on your doorstep food wise, so its a perfect place to have a base for your ski trip. Marco was incredibly kind on our last evening, and our son won't forget the gift he was given. Thank you.

“Excellent stay!”

We loved our stay at Hotel Gorret. What a gem of a boutique hotel! Marco is a wonderful host - always there to assist and offer advice on where to go, snow conditions etc. The self-serve breakfasts are generous and delicious. We had a room facing directly onto the Matterhorn - a million dollar view. It was also a great way to see how the lift queues were doing (always fine except bank holiday Monday which of course was not surprising). We loved being in the centre of town in the cobbled area - but also close to the supermarket. It's also just a very short walk to the main ski lift in town - perfect! The room was cleaned every day which we really appreciated and we had everything we needed. We even took advantage of the sauna and relaxation room one day - a treat! Huge thanks to the lovely Marco for our awesome stay. We'll be back! 🌟
