Álftröð is 5 km from Brautarholt, a 30-minute drive to Geysir and Gullfoss Waterfall and a 40-minute drive to the Þingvellir National Park. There is a 360-degree mountain view from the guest house as well as a view of Hekla, Eyjafjallajökul and Tindfjöll, the most famous volcanoes in Iceland. “Nice Bed and Breaky in the heart of Iceland”
Nice bed and breakfast, very bright building with big rooms which have everything you need. Theres a little bar and a hot tub. The host is friendly.

The breakfast was perfect. Fresh meat and cheeses. I particularly loved the fruit and nut bread !

Lovely guesthouse away from the busy Golden Circle but within easy driving distance to the top attractions and landmannalaugar. Good breakfast selection and spacious dining area.

Spacious. Modern. Smart. Very clean. Great breakfast. Excellent shower. We were offered dinner with a drink when we arrived, which was after a 10 hour hike, and so was appreciated very much. This was the best accommodation of our 2 week holiday in Iceland.
