“Great and friendly place in a picturesque location”

Great location in a village that is very picturesque and makes an excellent starting point for walking trips in the surrounding mountains. Breakfast was great. The staff are really attentive and create a very welcoming atmosphere.

“Rude staff, unprofessional, charged us twice.”

The receptionist was rude, she couldn’t find our name during check-in so she asked us to leave and told us we must have booked a different property. I had to show her my booking details, pictures of the room so that she let us in. The booking was prepaid but during checkout she forced us to pay again. She told us to sort it out with booking.com. We kept calling the property in-charge for more than a week, she kept ignoring , told us it’s our problem and then after 2 weeks she sent us money back when the situation escalated.

Huge property, partly renovated, an interesting experience to visit before it will turn in to ordinary euro renovated chateau. We had 2 big room’s with additional connected room between them - lot of space and good value for money. Free parking. One can order breakfast from set menu, for the dinner local pub is some 200 m away.

“Dreamlike stay in a true castle”

Having a chance to live in the castle is once in a lifetime experience. We were nicely accomodated by a lady, working in the castle. The interior is gorgeous, beds and pillows are super comfortable, the linen is impeccable and the bathroom is very spacious. It was unique and truly unforgettable experience. We are especially grateful to Patrick - an exceptionally talented and polite person, who is part of the staff. He showed us around the castle and helped us greatly while we were checking out.

It’s amazing to be able to stay in a 14-th century castle. It’s still undergoing restoration and thanks to it feels very intimate and undiscovered. We walked around the courtyard and around the castle pretty much alone. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious, bed comfortable, bathroom big and clean. Breakfast is simple, but everything is fresh and meals are hearty. Stunning views!! Around the castle there are pleasant trails to explore.

“Beautiful place for romantic escape”

We travelled to the Kolstein Chateau in Branna to spend a couple of days with my partner for my birthday in the tranquil and beautiful environment. To this extent, the place has fully met our expectations: the hotel is located in the old castle (still under renovation). We had a gorgeous room styled as a medieval bedroom with nice furniture and stylish bathroom. Absolutely quiet surrondings, fresh mountainous air and view on the village. Spotless clean, comfortable bed. Ladies at the reception and at the bar were very kind and attentive.

The lady (receptionist / guide) was absolutely perfect. She did a great job and made our stay exceptional.

Historic building, former monastery. By accident I stayed same week that the classic motorcycle races were held in the village. Big room. Big bathroom with nice classic bath.

Interesting and worth the experience. We could walk around the property and it was cool. For people that are into old places and old buildings it will be a place to go.
