Overview
Renovated in 2010, the stylish Kolštejn Hotel offers the largest array of wellness facilities in northern Moravia. The Proskil Ski Resort lies 800 metres away. The en-suite guest rooms in the Kolštejn Wellness Hotel are all equipped with free Wi-Fi. The interior design is characterized by warm tones of amber and rich chocolate. The exposed wooden beams and hardwood floors add a sense of rustic elegance to the rooms. Guests can unwind with a game of bowling or billiards. Just 200 metres from hotel is the historic Kolštejn Castle. Branná Train Station is 650 metres away. Right across from the building lies a famous confectionery store which sells traditional Czech sweets.

“Nice place for a stop”
So we were helped at check-in by a lovely young lady by the name of Lucy. She helped the woman on check-in who didn't speak any English. Secure Bike storage was provided in the bowling alley. The initial room was unacceptable due to the bed arrangement but this was rectified quickly and professionally. The new room was much bigger.. Basic but clean. Also it was nice and quiet. There was a fridge but no kettle or coffee. The towel drying rack in the bathroom actually worked really well. Our room was in the same building as the restaurant. Ongoing theme for us, no elevator. There is also a really nice sauna that someone really enjoyed. The initial meeting with the waitress was a challenge. She soon warmed up to us and we experienced a really good meal of local cuisine. Beautiful little village up in the hills. Quite scenic.
