Email sent to Bookings.com on Sat7/6/25 Hi Genesis, Thank you for your time in discussing our horrible experience last night when we arrived at the rental property. As discussed the beds were absolutely disgusting, unsanitary and not liveable (photos are attached). There were many oil stains, white semen stains, pubic hairs, dirt and grime. Along with this there was no top sheet (as soon on the ad) and no pillows to sleep on. The property owner did not respond to our calls or messages when we arrived and found the poor condition. Further to this my son sat on a hanging chair that was on the veranda and it snapped leading him to fall on the ground smashing his head on the concrete. This is complete negligence as it was tied up with a worn piece of rope (photo attached). We immediately contacted bookings.com and escalated the matter and was advised to find an alternative accommodation. We were at the property for no more than 1hr before we left for another location where we had to pay $1500 as it was last minute. We are now out of pocket the cost of this accommodation ~$950. I expect a full refund immediately as this is unacceptable. If a full refund is not given, I will be escalating this matter to the department of fair trading in Australia.
