This is a really pleasant experience, not just a stopover. Attentive, easygoing hostess and host.No spoilers but worth EVERY cent., do not hesitate to book. Secure, quiet, right on the threshold of the city centre. Never stayed anywhere like this before. Tricky to find when your tired so don't hesitate to call for help from the hosts. No photos shared, don't want to give away how special this house is.

Characterful theatrical period furnishing and decoration - the theatre is still in use. Attentive and helpful hosts, excellent breakfast, comfortable bed. Great location next to the historic city centre shops, restaurants, cafes and bars.

Exceptional stay in a beautiful building which is actually a theatre! If I knew there would be a superb piano concerto there on the following day we would’ve stayed another day, but it was emotional to be able to hear Celia Oneto Bensaid rehearse in the morning! The rooms in the Maison were all gorgeously decorated and if you love Murano glass as much as me you’ll begin heaven. Extravagancia meets classy decor. A wonderful experience - a relaxing stay in a historic maison. Lots of lovely surprises - rich colours and decor, a lovely indoor pool and amazing little theatre with incredible acoustics - lovingly created and curated by charming hosts.

An Unforgettable Experience at Maison du Théâtre Saint Bonnet We had the great pleasure of staying at Maison du Théâtre Saint Bonnet – and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced by a truly special atmosphere – warm, personal, and filled with musical soul. The hosts are among the kindest and most welcoming people we've ever met. Franck, the gentleman of the house, is an exceptionally talented and passionate pianist, and a beautiful musical connection quickly formed between him and my wife, who is a former opera singer. We ended up having a couple of small, intimate concerts together in the home's private theatre – an experience we will never forget. It didn’t feel like just a stay – but like being invited into a living home where art and genuine human connection are allowed to flourish. Everything – from the room, the breakfast, the surroundings, and most of all the atmosphere – was truly extraordinary. The house is amazing but above all the owners are so friendly and interesting. The breakfast location by the pool was lovely and above all one is in the very centre of Bourges.

Comfy room, lovely breakfast, great pool, and Bourges itself is also an underrated gem. Thank-you for a wonderfully memorable couple of nights.

A fantastic experience.The hosts are wonderful people. Sat in the Theatre,drinking a lovely coffee whilst listening to the host playing on the grand piano was an unforgettable experience. The room was huge and cant wait to go back. You must try this place. Some fantastic restaurants right across the road.

A memorable experience. A very nice decorated interior with a lot of attention to detail and pieces of art. Music plays a significant role as the owner is a musician and created a small version of a concert hall in this house. The owners like to talk about their passion for music. I felt very welcome and a lot of information was shared about the highlights of Bourges, such as the Light Festival. Rooms are comfortable and tasteful. The kind of place you would recommend to friends.

It is difficult to describe the love and dedication that has gone into this wonderful home. Frank, our host is a delightful man who could not do enough to make us feel welcome. This stay is everything you read and more. We were also blessed to hear this man play and it broght tears to my eyes. A must stay.
