“Be careful with your credit card!!!”
We were sent a link for "registration" which requests your credit card details but says "your card will not be charged" (I have a screenshot of the said link). Nevertheless it DOES CHARGE YOUR CARD with 500 EURO, with no warning. The owner is very reluctant to refund the money which he says is a "security deposit" (no word about a massive deposit when you make the booking). I did manage to get the money back but it took a lot of time and effort. Moreover, the property is in the middle of nowhere, the fabled 'etang' is nothing but a pond with stinky water, there is literally nowhere to walk. The upstairs room has a row of beds like in a prison or children's home, I'm not sure who would be happy to sleep there, and it's not even a proper room, just a mezzanine. It is impossible to open the windows as you'll be eaten alive by the mosquitoes, which obviously use the "etang' as their breeding ground. The property is super overpriced too. I hardly ever leave bad reviews, and would not have mentioned all the numerous inconveniences and faults, but the credit card trick really left me fuming.
