“Nice appartment with sea view in a quiet place near the sea”
QUIETNESS: The quietness due to the location surrounded by green and woods, neighbours being sheep and birds is what I was looking for. (this inclues my husband: Happy wife Happy life ;-)). There is another neighbour (private house) but not bothering. The appartment is next to a camping site. Luckily the camping site hosted guests seeking for quietness themselves. Within 200-300 metres from the appartment, there were 2 excellent restaurants next to the sea. The appartment is in the quieter part of the island. No partying youngsters. BEACHES NEARBY: There are several small beaches nearby (200-500 m) reachable on foot easily to enter the sea. Bring your water shoes if you are sensitive to stones. Or enter barefoot and imagine you are having a massage. NO SHOPS -> NO TRANSIT TRAFFIC: Do the shopping upfront (at least for your breakfast). There are no shops nearby (reachable on foot). But that was ok for us because we brought what we needed for breakfast and we love tasting local food. You have to drive to Novalja to do the shopping (app. 10 km away). However, when at my holiday location, I prefer using the car as less as possible. GOOD TO EXCELLENT RESTAURANTS NEARBY: There are several good restaurants within several km. We ate only very tasty food and were welcome by very welcoming service personnel or owners. CYCLING: My husband was cycling almost all holiday. He loved the area, especially the Olive Gardens of Lun. He went there twice to take photos within a unique ambient. NATURE: From the appartment, the view is to the sea and to olive trees. I loved that (well, with the exception of the neighbours' car). GENERAL IMPRESSION: The appartment is exactly like presented in the pictures. I would prefer a distinction of presentation between the upstairs and downstairs apparment to be able to know what to expect in which apparment. OPTIMAL COMPROMISE: Summarizing, this location was my optimal compromise (my priorities being quietness, nature, seaview).
