This place has the most amazing views over the Brederiver. Early morning coffee on the old school stoep. Indoor fireplace where you can build a decent fire. ( yes the host provided enough wood) 2 private rooms with ensuit and then .....ʼn open plan hall with maybe 12 more beds.

“Peaceful and welcoming stay”

Ronelle is a fantastic host. She is very kind and accommodated our needs wherever possible. The farm is peaceful and rather large so lots of different places to explore and see. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was warm. The shower pressure was strong with nice hot water. There was enough wood to accommodate for our needs and to stay warm by a lovely fire. There were complimentary naartjies / tangerines that are from the farm (which was a delightful touch) as well as rusks and droëwors.

Fabulous, spacious house. Wonderful for large groups with kids. We brought our dogs too, which was appreciated. Ronelle was very hospitable. We had everything we needed and more.

Ronelle went out of her way to ensure we were satisfied with our accommodations. There were welcome gifts waiting on the table. Some dry wors. A bottle of wine and home made chocolate delights. The huge tree outside our door provided much needed shade all day in the hot summer day which we loved. River close buy and kayak ready to paddle was a special treat. Good WiFi reception and flat screen TV was great. Oh and we chose a room that was nice and dark at night. Blisssss

Lovely big farm house with all the amenities you need. Lovely green lawn and great scenery. And if you need blitz or ice then they will bring it to you instead of having to go into town!

“Beautiful and peaceful”

The host Ronelle was so welcoming and hospitable and went out of her way to help us with whatever we needed. She also sent us so much information ahead of time that helped us plan great activities in the area. The surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful. We loved swimming in the river, going for walks on the farm, looking at the stars, spending time on the stoep and braaing.

We stayed in the Houthuis and it is perfect for a group. Lots of dorm-style beds as welll as 2 en suite rooms with more facilities than needed. The kitchen is huge, there is 2 toilets and 2 showers for the dorm-sleepers. We were a group of 10, ages between 18 and 90. The Houthuis is ON the river. Ideal for fishing. My husband took his bicycle with and loved riding it because it is beautiful and quiet. We also went on daily walks around the farm.

The hostess was very welcoming and made me feel welcome. The place was clean. The fire place was effective and a good supply of wood available to use. The bird life is prolific and there is lots of space to roam around in the farm.
