Maxwells Guest House is such a beautiful space/place situated away from city noise and light pollution. A place where it is quiet, a little out of the way but worth while. There so much more when going and staying here, there is a club rooms that serve meals and a 9 hole golf course if this is what you are looking for. The host, Kate is absolutely delightful. She had the heaters on making the house and our room warm and cosy. We felt at home. The bedroom that I had booked was spacious and immaculately clean - the whole place was! There is a full kitchen where we could make a cuppa, even prepare cooked meals if we wanted plus all the normal appliances to our disposal. Fixings for breakfast were provided, a healthy loaf of bread, 'real' butter, jam, marmalade, pottles of yoghrt and fruit salad. A variety of tea and coffee were available for us as well. We loved our experience and would definitely return.

The location was great and loved being on the golf course. Nice and quiet. The staff were very friendly. We enjoyed our rounds of golf and foot golf.

“Lovely rural stay”

Gorgeous location on a golf course in the country between Auckland and Hamilton (watch out for the pukekos on the road!) We stayed on our way south as it seemed like a much nicer location than the motel on the main route, but it was only a few minutes off the highway and a number of restaurants and takeaways. Breakfast was provided - simple but very nice. There was also a lovely comfortable lounge area - we happened to be the only visitors that night and it felt like staying in someone's home on their comfy sofas!

A very private yet comfortable bnb with class. Very big and two lounge areas, one with a fire place. Another stay I’d get some golf lessons - loved the view waking up in the morning definitely stay again. Great for groups as offers 5 or more bedrooms and the club house did the best steak I’ve had in a long time. The steak melted in my mouth
