Marie-Ange and Pierre were wonderful hosts. The ground floor rental unit of their house in a large, gated property was impeccable - a tastefully appointed bedroom and a stunning, modern bathroom. Breakfast was served on an elegantly-laid table in an enclosed gazebo in the back garden. Altogether a most enjoyable overnight stay.

Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was lovely and very clean with homely touches. The bathroom was amazing with a large shower. We decided to add breakfast for our stay and this was a feast of lots of local produce. We couldn't eat it all but it was lovely.

A lovely stylish accommodation attached to the owners' house with secure parking on site and set in quiet village location. Very clean with super comfortable bed and large bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and beautifully presented. Restaurant within walking distance. We enjoyed chatting with the owners who were very friendly, helpful and hospitable. It was a pleasure to stay at their Chambre de'Hote. Highly recommended.

Quiet location on the edge of a tiny town & edge of the forest yet within short drive of the sites in the area. A very warm welcome to a stylish ground floor bedroom (= garage conversion to guest room) with a very comfortable bed and superb ensuite bathroom. All immaculately clean. Kettle and tea-making facilities were much appreciated. Fridge in the wardrobe. Loungers were put out for our use in the guest area of the garden. Had breakfast at the nearby bakery (3 mins stroll) on the first morning to make a early start for Giverny visit - beat the crowds. On the second morning we had the breakfast provided by our gracious hosts. An excellent spread well worth the EXTRA cost.

This place is a hidden gem! Lovely location very close to Giverny and Vernon. Extremely comfortable bed and very modern bathroom. The breakfast was exceptional; wonderful choice of fruit, yogurt, breads and cheeses! The host and Hostess did everything the could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. BOOK THIS PLACe if you need to be anywhere nearby!

We loved staying here. We came for the Olympic Games, but also saw some lovely local places as well as Monet's Garden. Our hosts were friendly, welcoming and gave us helpful recommendations for places to visit locally. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well equipped. The weather was very hot the week we stayed so we appreciated having a fridge in the room and being able to sit in the garden. Breakfasts were delicious. There is a little bakery in the village.

à l'orée du bois is a homely retreat and perfect for a quiet getaway. The property is within easy reach to Claude Monet's Garden and local eateries. Both Pierre and Marie-Ange (and their friendly dog) were welcoming hosts to their tastefully decorated and well-appointed room with en suite. The optional breakfast was excellent and wholesome, elegantly laid hi out by Marie-Ange in a cosy conservatory overlooking their well tended private garden. This is a deserving B&B that is excellent value for money - offering a calibrated touch of luxury and pampering without the excessiveness that would break your bank account! This property is highly recommended! (May 2024)

A warm welcome from our host. Excellent breakfast. Hosts provided a sumptuous gluten and lactose free breakfast for me. I was so grateful and it was honestly the best breakfast we had during our 3 week holiday touring France, Switzerland, Germany and Belgium! It was served in the conservatory overlooking the pretty garden, which was a lovely start to our day. Good sized, modern bathroom. Refrigerator provided. Secure parking

To a tourist from Australia, being a B & B, it is expected that the cost of breakfast should be CLEARLY included in the Booking.com advertised cost to stay so that a cost comparison to similar properties can be made BEFORE booking. To be clear, this was not only the fault of the property owner, but it was a disappointment to find this extra cost on arrival. Thus we chose NOT to eat breakfast ( on principle) at the property after being told the price & chose to eat “on the road” at a nearby bakery. It spoilt the last of our wonderful 2 week stay in many B&B’s in France (all included breakfast) Luckily we had only booked one night here. However, the room was delightful with little “bathroom extras” that were appreciated & we loved the ability to lounge privately in the garden. It was also a perfect location for our last tourist stop at Monet’s garden. Unfortunately such a sour taste left by this last Booking.com experience in France.
