“Terrible experience, poor customer service, lack of integrity - READ BEFORE BOOKING.”

We planned to stay in Emiliano’s apartment from July 28-30. Regrettably, we only stayed 1 night due to the state of the accommodations. We immediately connected with Emiliano to address the issue, my family and I were deeply disappointed with the response and inaction regarding our concerns. Emiliano ignored and dismissed our concerns, and we want to ensure others do not make the same mistake in securing his property for any type of stay. 1. The bathroom had a severe pest infestation, with insects coming from cracks along the floor, walls, and drain pipes in large amounts. Despite our attempts to wash them away, they reappeared immediately. 2. Unsanitary Living Conditions: The condition of the apartment was far below expectations. Emiliano’s neglect and lack of care regarding the infrastructure, appliances, and air quality were evident and deeply disappointing. 3. Maintenance: Openings large enough to allow critters (e.g., salamanders), for insects (e.g., mosquitoes, flies), and other elements (e.g., rain, snow) to enter. Leaving a can of insect spray in a poorly ventilated apartment is not appropriate or safe. Proper repairs and maintenance are necessary. 4. Odor: The apartment had a strong musty and moldy smell, with markings of mold or water damage on the walls. 5. Refrigerator: The refrigerator was in a dilapidated and unsanitary condition, with rust and makeshift repairs inappropriate for storing food. It was also not plugged in or ready for guests, forcing us to discard food. Lack of Integrity: When we reached out to Emiliano, hoping to discuss and reach an amicable agreement (we offered to pay for the one night we stayed), he had no interest and repeatedly claimed he could have sent a cleaning lady to rectify our concerns. Emiliano’s then falsely advised Booking.com that we did not check in. This is deceptive and manipulative. His approach to addressing our concerns was inadequate and unacceptable.
