Our stay at Sunsetter Bed & Breakfast with Sally and Mike was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and taken care of. The property offers free kayaks, bikes, and paddle boards, which made exploring the surrounding canal systems such a special experience. We were even lucky enough to spot sloths and monkeys in the area , truly magical. Getting into town was super easy as well, with very cheap colectivos and taxis available nearby. The homemade breakfasts deserve a special mention , absolutely delicious every single morning. Having worked as a Quality Manager for a luxury hospitality brand over the past years, I can honestly say Sally and Mike really nailed it. The attention to detail, cleanliness, presentation, and overall guest experience are up to true luxury hospitality standards. You can feel the passion and care they put into every little detail of the property and the guest experience. Highly recommended, and we would definitely stay again.

Sally and Mike are incredible hosts, their breakfasts were awesome, even leaving us early breakfasts when we were leaving early in the morning to go diving. Their home is so peaceful, we loved using their kayak to see sloths and monkeys nearby!

Everything was fantastic, thank you for hosting us. I can only recommend this B&B. We had the suite room with the patio and the view to the sea was awesome. The breakfast was fabulous.

Our stay at the sunsetter was great! The room we booked was really comfy, the views were amazing and the balcony 10/10! Sally and Mike were nice and helpful, and breakfast was super good everyday. I totally recommend staying here :)

“Comfortable accommodation and great breakfast”

Delicious freshly cooked breakfast each morning, free tea and coffee always available. Very comfortable bedroom with good lighting! a balcony and lovely view. The hosts are lovely friendly people and have several friendly cats. Easy 20 minutes walk into town.

Beautiful property right on the water. Really nice bedrooms with balconies overlooking the sea. Great different breakfast every day! Amazing hosts! Nothing is too much trouble! Just a 30min walk to the town or a $1 taxi. Perfect location! Definitely would stay there again! Well done

Sally and Mike were the perfect hosts from start to finish. Even before arrival there was plenty of communication and help with any questions we had. The breakfasts were amazing! A very relaxing place but loved the access of the usage of the kayaks etc.

Mike and Sally are wonderful hosts with great tips about the area. Great breakfast everyday, even though you have to leave early in the morning. I enjoyed the huge terrace with beautiful cries over the sea.

Loved everything! The accommodation and rooms are beautiful, the location on the river right in the mangrove is simply stunning, located in a tranquil neighbourhood. Sally and Mike are amazing hosts with great attention to detail. The breakfast were great, the rooms spotless and the beds comfortable.

“Perfect place for the islands”

Exceptional setting over the water with views all round. Very clean and comfortable. Well equipped both in the room and with communal facilities. Best of all though are the hosts, Sally and Mike who are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The location suited us perfectly, near enough the main town for access to shops and restaurants but far enough to be completely quiet. Walking into town is possible, but probably not something to do several times a day. No problem however as taxis are cheap and plentiful. Also the bus out to starfish beach passes the end of the road. Only regret is we couldn't stay longer.

I usually don't bother to write reviews, but this place was superb. We stayed here for four nights. The place is gorgeous and Mike adapted to our timetables and dietary restrictions with the breakfast (one of us is on a gluten and dairy-free diet). He also gave us tips and answered all our questions, and also answered quickly via whatsapp, even way before our trip when we were figuring our transport out of Bocas. The location is slightly out of town so the vibes are relaxed and very cool. The ride to town is just 1$ per person, very easily done with taxis and busses passing all the time. I would highly recommend!

“Perfect stay”

This place is something else. Sally and Mike are very helpful, gave the best tips making sure we would have the best experience possible during our stay. Their breakfast is 11/10, we used the paid laundry service and it was perfect as well, they also have kayaks, bikes, snorkeling gear for free, I'd recommend this place with my eyes closed. Will come back for sure. The best time we had during our trip was in Bocas del Toro. A taxi is just 1$ per person to downtown. 30min walk.

Sally and Mike are wonderful hosts! Very kind and caring. The Sunsetter lies in a great spot just after the mangrove overlooking the sea 🌊 It’s quite at night and with a proper airco it also guarantees a good nights sleep in the humid environment.
