The accommodation overlooks Bobbio and the surrounding vistas are stunning. The room we had was very comfortable, clean and spacious. The pillows were exceptional and the bed was comfortable. The room also had a spacious covered balcony which overlooked the valley and surrounding hills. If you like peace and quiet this is the perfect location. The hostess Giovanna was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast she provided was excellent - a range of sweet treats, fruit, fresh breads, yogurts, homemade jams and cakes and freshly squeezed orange juice and freshly made coffees served in fine china cups - a real treat and very special. I would highly recommend this Relais if you want somewhere different which is relaxing and surrounded by nature.

location is perfect to enjoy the spirit of Bobbio in its valley, a place that inspires reflection while admiring the beauty of the landscape. Access road from south is magical in the spring. Being welcomed with a glass of water and invited to sit down was unusual and refreshing. The breakfast and dinner layout and range of traditional home made food was amazing and unique. .

Perfect location for views and quiet. Hosts were attentive but leave you alone if required. Typical Italian breakfast that was freshly made in the morning. Even though it's up the hillside from the town it was only 1 mile walking to restaurants. Secure location.

Beautiful location and a short drive to the Old Bridge, which is a main attraction of the town. The breakfast was incredible and I enjoyed it with a stunning view of the valley below.

Most beautiful place to stay, the view is insane and the host is the best!! Close to a very cute and old village that is worth the visit! (Not many tourists so very authentic!!) The many course diner made by the super friendly and very Italian host is incredible!! We are for sure coming back for that!! All food is sourced locally and in season. The way she cooks and explains everything is overflowing of passion. The rooms are lovely and every little detail is well taken care off. The wines (all natural) were also something very special! A very special experience, we are so so happy we have found this place!

We spent three glorious nights at Relais Sant Ambrogio and even though it rained, it absolutely surpassed any expectations we may have had when we booked. A true northern Italian experience not to be missed. Relais Sant Ambrogio is a classic styled homestead with comfortable large rooms and notable attention to detail. With stunning views, it sits on a hillside overlooking picturesque Bobbio. Giovana and Paulo are the most amazing hosts who go out of their way to ensure everything is perfect. Their philosophy is to create a family atmosphere with home cooked meals matched with beautiful organic wine. The food and wine is lovingly grown and produced on the property. Relais Sant Ambrogio feels like home and Paolo and Giovana are kind and generous. Giovana has an earthy warmth that comes out in her unforgettable dishes. She loves cooking and is happy to cater for her guests dietary requirements. Giovana went to great lengths for me as a vegetarian to provide the most exquisite mouth watering meals fresh from the farm. I have never tasted anything like it, accompanied by the most incredible natural wines from their vineyard. If you want a true northern Italian gastronomic experience in a stunning location do yourself a favor and don’t go past Relais Sant Ambrogio. We will definitely be back!

Everything was marvellous. The owner is a delicious person with lots of attention for the guests. She’s preparing delicious local and natural food for diner and breakfast. Location is wonderful and guest house and rooms are decorated with lots of taste.

Very clean and pleasant location with wonderful views over the valley of river Trebbia. Easy access by car to The Old Bridge, so you can cross it to BOBBIO, a charming small medieval village across the river.
