“Great place 👌”
Very private & quiet, comfortable beds. Arrived on wet cold day, heating had been put on. Very clean & everything you need when traveling. The pots & pans best selection since arriving NZ (4 months). Would book again & recommend.

Spacious, sunny and quirky, the cabin is very comfortable and well-equipped, with a separate kitchen and bathroom. We stupidly managed to lock ourselves out and the owner was away, but after some sleuthing and phone calls and texting, the lovely cleaner was able to come to our rescue - much appreciated!

“A steep uphill walk form the main street but a perfect base for our trip to Stewart Island”

Handy for a short stop on the way to Stewart Island. Large accommodation and comfortable with a homely feel. Air con/heating was excellent. Bed very comfortable as well as a sofa and table and chairs. Great value if a little unconventional.

Kane and Justine are an endless source of knowledge of the area. Incredible fisherman's stories to hear. We had a meal of freshly caught Paua... For insight I recommend reading (in French) "Bluff" a novel from author David Fauquenberg
